Karna, at leisure within his chamber, yearned for the revitalizing caress of the open air. He sought out the assistance of the palace guards to lead him to the royal garden. As he strolled through the lush garden's pathways, he noticed numerous princes and kings engaged in conversations.

"Vrisha , it appears you've made it at last ," Krishna exclaimed, Karna face lighting up upon hearing the familiar voice and turning to see his friend

"How are you , Madhav?" Karna inquired warmly.

"I'm doing quite well ,Vrisha ," Krishna replied, a playful gleam in his eyes. "How could I not be when your Sakhi is the one taking care of me ?"

Karna smiled at his response while Krishna continued to inquire, "Do you believe you can succeed in the Swayamvar, Vrisha? I mean, my friend is exceptionally beautiful, and I think you two would make a splendid couple ."

"I'm not sure, Madhav, whether I'll win the Swayamvar or not. The only reason I'm here is because you asked me to come. I didn't have any interest in it to begin with ," replied Karna.

"Why, Vrisha, do you have any other women in your heart? Ones you love or desire to be with? You can confide in me; I'm quite experienced in handling such situations ," Krishna responded teasingly.

Karna's thoughts swiftly drifted to Subhadra, reminiscing about the moments they had shared. He recalled her carefree spirit, her captivating beauty, and the grace with which she carried herself. His mind wandered to that enchanting encounter when she had accidentally fallen into his arms, and the lingering fragrance of her presence had intoxicated his senses. And he could never erase from his memory the mesmerizing sight of her face when he gently brushed aside her locks to reveal its unparalleled allure .

Krishna cleared his throat, playfully interrupting Karna's daydreaming. "You don't mean to tell me you actually have someone in your heart, do you? I was merely joking, but it seems there might be some truth to it ," he teased, a knowing twinkle in his eye, fully aware of who Karna had on his mind .

Karna quickly deflected, saying, "Oh, nothing of the sort, Madhav. I was simply lost in thoughts about the pending work in the kingdom, nothing more ." He concealed his true feelings behind a well-crafted lie .

Krishna nodded with a knowing smile, his inner thoughts revealing, "I'll wait patiently; secrets like these have a way of revealing themselves ."

"Come, don't trouble yourself with thoughts of work ," Krishna suggested warmly. He gently ushered Karna, saying, " Let's head to my chamber where we can discuss matters in a more peaceful setting. It's quite crowded here ."

In the serene confines of her chamber, Draupadi sat surrounded by her attendants, their voices weaving tales of the kings and princes who had gathered in Panchal for the Swayamvar.

Lost in contemplation, Draupadi's mind was a whirlwind of uncertainty. The task devised by her confidant, her sakha, loomed over her like a shadow. All she knew was that it revolved around the skill of archery.

Interrupting her thoughts, Malini, her trusted head maid, gently inquired, "Princess, what occupies your mind?" Draupadi, roused from her reverie, met Malini's gaze and poured out her anxieties and apprehensions about the impending Swayamvar.

Malini, ever perceptive, spoke softly, "Princess, our Maharaj has extended invitations far and wide, beckoning kings and princes from every corner of Aryavart to your Swayamvar. Each one arrives with dreams as grand as the stars, longing to behold the ethereal beauty of Panchal princess with their own eyes "

Continuing her reassurance, Malini spoke with unwavering confidence, " I am certain, my dear princess, that among these suitors, the one who emerges victorious will be a king or prince whose valor matches your incomparable beauty. Fate has a way of guiding us to our rightful match, and I believe yours awaits you amidst these noble contenders ."

Draupadi's lips curved into a tender smile at her maid's comforting words, though her nervousness and insecurities still lingered like shadows in her heart. With a grateful nod, she bid her maids farewell, allowing herself a moment of solitude.

Sinking into the plush embrace of her luxurious bed, she turned her gaze towards the mesmerizing glow of the moon. With each gentle breath, she sought solace in its tranquil radiance, closing her eyes in silent prayer, her heart fluttering with hope that the impending Swayamvar would unfold with grace and ease .

As the first blush of dawn painted the sky in hues of pink and gold, Suryadev, the sun god, cast his radiant rays upon the tranquil kingdom of Panchal. The gentle chirping of birds greeted the awakening land, a melodic chorus heralding the arrival of a new day filled with promise and anticipation .

In every corner of Panchal, from the humblest cottages to the grandest palaces, the stirring of life began. Common folk rose from their slumber with eager hearts, their footsteps quickening with excitement as they prepared to bear witness to the grand spectacle unfolding in their midst .

It was an event that had captured the imaginations of the masses, drawing throngs of commoners, Brahmins, and nobles alike to the auspicious venue where destiny would unfold .

Within the palace walls, a flurry of activity unfolded as maids bustled about, attending to the needs of visiting dignitaries from distant kingdoms. With unwavering grace and efficiency, they ensured that every guest was welcomed with warmth and hospitality, their duties extending beyond mere servitude to embody the essence of Panchal's renowned hospitality .

Amidst the bustling corridors, one figure stood apart, absorbed in a ritual of devotion. Karna, son of Suryadev, knelt in quiet reverence before an altar dedicated to his celestial father. As he offered his prayers, his gaze lifted skyward, seeking solace in the benevolent gaze of the sun god .

"I am adrift amidst a sea of thoughts, Father," Karna murmured , his voice a whisper of yearning.

"My mind is a tempest, swirling with indecision. Yet, in this moment of uncertainty, I find solace in your presence, knowing that your watchful gaze never wavers. Guide me, as you always have, with your unwavering light and wisdom ." With his eyes lifted heavenward, Karna sought reassurance in the silent communion with his celestial father, trusting in the timeless bond that bound them together.

Completing his suryapooja with a sense of inner peace, Karna adorned himself in regal attire befitting his noble lineage. With each garment meticulously arranged, he exuded an aura of dignified elegance, a testament to his princely stature. With purposeful strides, Karna made his way towards the grand hall where the Swayamvar awaited.
