"Eh, how about naman those times na pinagbubuksan mo pa ng pinto ng sasakyan si Risa, ha Leni?" Kaka rolled her eyes, "Tapos binigay mo sakanya 'yung cardigan mo kasi nilalamig sya? Plus 'yung payong? Ending, ikaw 'yung nilamig."
"Para naman akong naging personal assistant sa mga sinasabi nyo," mumbled Leni grumpily.
"Oh well. Ang pinagkaiba nyo ng personal assistant, ikaw sobrang sincere mo sa mga ginagawa mo. 'Diba, Ris?"
Risa winced, "Parang hindi sakto 'yung personal assistant na comparison. Mas swak 'yung knight shining in armor. I mean," she patted Leni's hand gently, "Gets ko naman na you're just being really considerate talaga. Don't worry, hindi kita nakikita as personal assistant. Vice President ka kaya,"
Leni nodded in reply and dipped her french fry into her ketchup.
"Okay sige hindi personal assistant. Pero you need to admit na you're 100% girlfriend or even wife material. Ris, nasaan nga 'yung pouch mo?"
"Ah, eto?" Risa brought it out from her bag and put it on the table.
"Uy! Bigay ko 'yan sa'yo!" Leni beamed.
Kaka unzipped it and took a small comb, "Binigay mo rin sakanya 'to, 'diba?"
"Yep!"
"And this lipstick,"
Leni grinned, "Uy! You're using it!"
"And Risa, patingin nga ng phone case mo," said Kaka.
Risa held it up, "Yes,"
"Your honor, I rest my case."
"Hindi ko gets," said Leni. She picked up Risa's phone case and looked at it, "Anong meron sa phone case?"
"Alam mo ba kung bakit hindi ka na pwede mag regalo?" Kaka shrugged. "Kasi, nagselos sa'yo 'yung ex ni Risa dati,"
"Really? I.. thought sabi ni Risa before na ayaw nyang mag-aksaya ako ng pera,"
"I mean, oo. Pero gets? Hindi ka dapat gumagastos masyado sa taong hindi mo naman jowa," said Kaka.
Leni sat back and looked at Risa, "Pero akala ko you would like the gifts?"
"That's why he got jealous."
"Oh."
"Ang sinasabi kasi ni Kaka," Risa took her phone gently from Leni's grasp, "is parang you unconsciously have this kind of vibe which may or may not make women fall for you. Actually, kahit men."
Kaka nodded, "Ayun! Exactly, nakuha mo Ris. Girlfriend material talaga 'tong si Leni, kaya ang daming nanligaw sakanya sa Congress eh. Crush ng bayan,"
"Pero—" said Leni.
"Kasi you know, maalaga ka, attentive, witty, you give good gifts tipong talagang pinag-iisipan, you like cooking for people rin, nagsusulat ka ng cute random notes, and you take your time to listen.." Risa took another french fry from Leni's plate. "Ang haba pa ng list actually. Basta baka kapag may exam for ideal girlfriend, perfect ka na."
Leni laughed and looked at the two, "Ang OA nyo na. Hindi naman ako papasok na ulit sa relasyon after Jesse. Baka nasanay lang ako na maalaga sakanya,"
"Anyway, Risa," said Kaka, holding up a imaginary microphone, "as a person na widowed and single rin like Leni, sa tingin mo ba ayos si Leni? I mean, as a jowa or partner?"
"Hmm. Yeah," Risa nodded, "Sakto sya sa list ko if I'll ever enter in a relationship again, guy or woman man 'yan,"
"Ah so type mo si Leni? If ever?"
"Naman," said Risa, winking.
"Oh ayan na Lens."
With an amused sigh, Leni pushed her chair back. "Para talaga kayong ewan. Hindi naman porket nakikita nyong swak ako, ganoon rin nakikita ng ibang tao. Anyway," with her own cup in hand, she pointed at Risa's empty one, "Kukuha pa ako ng tubig. Gusto mo ba?"
"Yep, sasama na ako sa'yo."
"'Wag na, ako na." Leni grabbed Risa's cup and walked off.
Kaka and Risa watched as Leni walked gracefully through the crowd of different media teams covering the conference having their snack, too.
After a moment, Kaka almost growled, "Alam mo, sobrang perfect ni Leni. No wonder nanalo sya eh. Pero may nakakairita rin talaga syang ugali,"
"Which is?" asked Risa.
"Hindi makaramdam!" Kaka gave Risa a despairing look. "Hindi ko na alam kung paano pa natin sasabihin sakanya nang mas malinaw. Siguro dapat humanap ka nalang ng ibang mas mabilis makagets na gusto mo sila?"
Risa laughed at Kaka's rant, "I think she'll come around eventually," said Risa, staring at Leni with a soft look in her eyes as if she's the only person in that crowded room.
"Never pa ako nasira as a wingwoman ha, kaya sure rin ako papalya rin 'yan. Konting nudge pa dyan kay Vice President," said Kaka.
Risa only smiled and took another french fry from Leni's plate.
