It wasn't in question that the misfits were smart. They were a good group as everyone thought. Veronica "Ronnie" Orange was the leader. She was smart and dependable. Recently, she had been through a breakup. The only person who seemed to notice her state of mind was Vincent O'Connell. He was smart. He didn't use his smarts to the fullest. He wasn't like Carter, who was absent-minded though. Ronnie walked into history class to see three other boys. There stood Dillon Levy, Matthew Finnegan, and Brandon Fraser. They turned to look at Ronnie as Brandon called her out.

"What up your ass?"

"What?"

"You look mad. Something upset you, Ronnie?"

"Nope. Not at all."

Everyone knew full well about the breakup. It wasn't Ronnie's fault. Jeremiah was a dick. He played her. Matt didn't have any sympathy for Ronnie. Nobody had sympathy for Ronnie. It wasn't like she cared anyways. The breakup definitely gave Veronica time to think about herself. She heard the sighs and groans of the group as the bell rang for class to start. Carter was tapping his pencil. Carter had really bad adhd. He couldn't help himself from getting distracted easily. Ronnie tried to ignore it as she looked back at Matthew Finnegan. He went by Matthew Cross. It had something to do with sports or some shit. Matthew whispered something to Dillon and Ronnie couldn't help but say something.

"Got something to share with the class, Matthew?"

"Seriously Veronica?"

"It's Ronnie and you know it."

"Will you guys stop fighting and let Mrs.Dweller teach? It's every day with you guys!"

"She starts it."

"Shut the fuck up Matthew Finnegan. You literally start everything. I know damn well you weren't talking shit about Retro-Bowl."

"Veronica Orange, watch your mouth. And Matthew Cross, you better stop talking with Dillon.  You guys need to get along. Each and every one of you needs to learn sympathy. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to get through a lesson."

Veronica looked at everyone. She saw Matt and Dillon narrow their eyes at her and she flipped them off under the table. She looked at Carter, who couldn't give a damn about what was happening. Vince smiled at Ronnie and she returned the favor. Class went the same as always. Dillon and Matt bother Ronnie, she gets ticked off, they get a stern talking to. After class Vincent went up to Veronica and helped her put her books in her bag.

"Thanks for the help, Vinnie. Shouldn't you be with Jeremiah?"

"Yeah but he's just gonna talk about his new girlfriend or something. Got any horror movie theories?"

"Sure. Starting with the netflix texas chainsaw not being canon."

"Shit. I gotta go. Just tell me tomorrow?"

"Yeah, will do Vinnie."

And with that, Vince left and Veronica went home.  When she got home, she decided to turn on the tv and watch South Park. All of a sudden she went stiff. She was seeing a vision. She saw a boy covered in blood next to a water slide. Veronica snapped out of her vision, shocked. She remembered Mrs.Dweller talking about Action Park earlier in class that day. Ronnie ran to her dresser to get her phone. She decided to do some research and pulled up a photo. That slide...it looked familiar. She saw the slide that was in her vision. Ronnie got a bit freaked out and decided to go to bed.

Maybe the group will be learning a lesson. It might be even more graphic than any of them would be expecting. Either way...maybe it'll bring them to finally work together and get along.
