The freezing air made her tremble her own father's gaze made her terrified, one of her fathers knights had his sword pointed at her neck by a mere command of her dads hand. "You have one more day to complete your mission, you hear me?" The chill that is calm voice sent down her spine was enough to get the point across. "...I'll make sure it'll get done." She said relieved as father had called the soldier back even though the small cut the sword left was bleeding, I mean at least she wasn't dead.
Small cluttered room, the rough carpet floor covered with dirty clothes, a paint chipped nightstand that took up way too much space for what actual purpose it gave as it just was home to a couple of scented candles he had, and an old fashioned dresser that made it nearly impossible to get into the twin sized mattress that was his bed. It didn't even have a bed frame! Not that there was room for it anyway. The owner of the room laid in the small bed his long blond hair on the unexplained stain on the pillow case.
The broken bracelet held up as he was just glad he found every bead on it but with the string being broken there's not much he could do. He was already a nuisance asking Roarke his adoptive father, would prove he's only use is to bring more trouble to the family, i mean he already was the one bringing all the financial troubles.
Suddenly he heard his cell phone ding as he put the broken bracelet down grabbing the barely working cracked phone, he got a notification from his friend Andri it read 'yooo bro still up for going to the mall?' Cosmos chuckled smiling while replying to him 'yeah just call me when you're outside' he sent as his door suddenly opened leading to cosmos dropping his phone and the broken bracelet perfectly on display. "Cosmos..wait is that the bracelet?'' Roarke said, pointing to the string of beads that the younger most definitely desperately tried to tie.
Cosmos was shocked as he wasn't sure what to do obviously first picking up his phone then staring blankly at the ceiling. 'I couldn't even hide the bracelet for a day...' he thought crying on the inside. "...yeah it snapped.." he mumbled looking at the rough carpet floor being too embarrassed to make eye contact with his most likely disappointed father.
"Do you remember the wish you made last time you tied it?'' Roarke asks, patting the blond's head. "What...?" "I mean you didn't intentionally break it did you?" Roake said as Cosmos looked up and smiled "...of course not." "then it means the wish you made when you tied it has been granted, if you remember it of course. I'll take the bracelet and change the string real quick so you can leave, Andreaus is outside by the way.
Don't leave before I come back." he said before grabbing the poorly re-tied bracelet and taking it leaving the room. After a minute or so cosmos felt his legs and bones extend to fit his new form honestly it felt gross being stretched out like that but with it he grows more muscles to fit his body which just makes him happy to look at. He could now look down and see that his hair has grown all the way down to his waist and it was a fiery red. He could feel how much more powerful the form grew with him, all the candles on his nightstand turned on by him blinking he didn't even try to but it was already done.
Now he was curious...he blinked once more and all the candles turned off. Woah, that was much more than normal! I could only do a single candle before, has it really been that long? 7 years ago he was happy, he was 15 and free no dumb bracelet that concealed his powers. Apparently some scientist back in Beautt were finding a way to not go crazy by steal someone's powers, i don't even know whether this is good or not. Powers are supposed to be a curse aren't they? So why are they trying to take them from us...?
Roarke walked in with the bracelet and cosmos immediately shrunk back to his original size, his once fiery red hair mellowed to the original blond. "Here I changed the string for you." Roarke says as he walks over and ties it around cosmos's wrist. "Did you make a wish?" he asked as cosmos nodded in response "its a secret.." he mumbled. Roake chuckled and patted the younger's head. "I'm going to work in the shop for a little, also you shouldn't keep Adreaus waiting too long i think he's falling asleep."
