HUNGARY NYIREGYHAZA 1956
"GET UP NOW nőstény kutya!" I jolted up and looked around. "Where am I again?" I said in a quiet mumble trying to not be loud. "Oh, right I'm in this kakilyuk." I stood up in the narrow room and walked over to the small pile of clothes in the corner. I grabbed a pair of long baggy pants, a button-up shirt, and a light brown trench coat.I quickly put the clothes on and walked out of the room. I walked over to the kitchen and opened a cabinet. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!" I flinched from the loud noise. I turned around to look at the loud drunk lady. She was wearing a green long sleeve button-up shirt under a simple white dress.
"Eating food." I just wanted to give a quick fast response to try not to make her mad.
"I'M NOT GOING TO WASTE MY FOOD ON YOU!" she just started to ramble about how I should not be alive and blah blah blah. Even though I didn't care I could feel tears threatening to pour out, but I would not let that woman have the satisfaction of seeing me cry. I quickly walked away from her. I opened up the front door and looked at the destroyed street. I sighed and walked out of the door with the bitchy woman still yelling in the background probably not even knowing I had left the house.
I looked around the dirty war-torn streets trying to see if there were any spots to avoid because of the protests and with just my luck there was one right at the end of the street. I stopped and looked to see if there were any other ways to get to the church. The loud gunshots and screams were filling my ears. I quickly put my hands on my ears trying to muffle out the loud noises. I felt my weight shift to the side as someone grab my wrist and bring me into an alleyway.
"You don't want one of the soldiers mistaking you for a capitalist now do you." I looked up to see a boy about my age smiling at me. He was wearing a white turtleneck and black coat. His eyes were hazel brown and he had light brown hair. It looked really fluffy and soft. "Am I that hot?" The brunette said. SHOOT HE SAW ME STARING! I quickly turned to hide the blush "No it's just you pulled me into an alleyway and I don't even know you."
"Well, you should thank me because you could have gotten shot." He still had a cheeky smile on his face. "Fine, thank you." he looked extra happy when I said that. "My name is Solvin Keller." I looked at him with a confused face. "You said that you did not know me, so I told you my name, now you know me."
I smiled while looking at his gorgeous brown eyes. "My name is Siri Kolevski." my face was a slight pink. Please let him just think that it is the cold weather. "Your last name sounds Russian, doesn't it?" I nodded my head. "My dad was Russian." I saw his adorable smile slightly fall when he heard the word was. "I'm sorry I should not have asked." GREAT JOB YOU MADE HIM SAD!
"Oh no it's fine he died a while ago from some sort of illness." Please let him feel better now. I feel terrible for making him sad. "It's not fine, I should not have brought it up. Let me make it up to you." He had a determined look on his face so I tried not to argue. "How?" CALM DOWN SIRI CALM DOWN! IT'S JUST A FRIENDLY ACTION HE IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WEIRD. "My family is going to be throwing a party tomorrow. I was wondering if that would be a good time to make it up to you." I nodded my head to confirm that I could go.
"GREAT! I will show you the way tomorrow. Meet back here?" I could see most of his gums with just how much he was smiling. "Of course." He patted my shoulder and started to walk off before he turned around and winked.
DID HE JUST WINK AT ME!!!! My face turned as red as a tomato. He proceeded to walk off like he did not just do something that could have gotten him killed.
"BYE SIRI!" I waved my hand goodbye as he swiftly moved out of the alleyway. Well, how am I meant to go to church after that because that was not a very holy thing. I breathed out a breath I did not know I was holding in.
