Part 18

I had to include this scene. The upcoming BTS was too good to not use it in the story

Rishi put his hand in his hair and said to himself: I love her so much.
He checked in the mirror one last time to see that there were no traces left of their session and quickly went down.. he went to see Lakshmi surrounded by shalu, ahana and all.
Ahana: To Rishi bhai mil gyi aapko gift? Waise kya tha ye to bataiye. Hum kabse bhabhi se puch rhe hai but wo bata hi nai rhi and sharmaye jaa rhi hai.
Rishi: Haan haan mil gyi mujhe gift aur bahot yummy thi..
Shalu: Oh di tu kuch khane ka laayi thi kya jiju ke lie.
Rishi: Haan meri favorite sweets banayi thi Lakshmi ne mere lie. Thank you Lakshmi. Actually main to kahunga tum roz hi mujhe wo sweets dia Karo.
Lakshmi is blushing profusely.
Ahana: Not fair bhabhi aapne sirf Rishi bhai ke lie sweets banaye. Humlogo ko bhi milni chahiye na.. aapki pinniya khayi hai maine mujhe bhi bahot pasand hai
Rishi: Arre wo mera gift the sirf mere lie..wo sirf mujhe hi milega aur kisi ko nai.
They continue with their fun banter. Soon it's time for everyone to leave as the party was over. After everyone has left, Aayush goes to drop shalu and family home. Lakshmi is working with the servants to organise everything and keeping it back in place.
Suddenly someone comes from behind and holds her by the waist. Lakshmi realises it's Rishi. He back hugged her keeping his head on her shoulder.
Lakshmi: Rishi chhoro kya kar rhe ho. Koi aa jaega to kya sochega.
Rishi: Kya sochega, maine to already sabke saamne keh dia ki main tumse pyar karta hoon to ab kya hi naya sochega koi
Lakshmi: Rishi tum na kabhi nai sudhroge. Hato mujhe kaam karne do.
Rishi: Kya yaar Lakshmi hamesha kaam kaam kaam. Kabhi apne pati ko bhi yaad kar lo. Kitna akela, kitna tanha hai wo tumhare bina.
Lakshmi: Patidev please mujhe ye kaam khatam karne dijiye jaldi se. Kaam jaldi khatam hoga tabhi to main aapko undivided attention de paungi na.
Rishi: Oh acha, ye baat hai. Fir theek hai tum kar lo fatafat kaam, main room me jaata hoon aur tumhara wait karta hoon
Lakshmi smiles at his antics and he leaves from there..she also hurries through her work.
Rishi goes to his room and is surprised to see Neelam there..
Neelam: Ye sab kya tha Rishi
Rishi: Kya hua mom aap itne gusse me kyu lag rhi hai
Neelam: Tum ye sab kya bol rhe the party me. And what do you mean you love Lakshmi. Malishka ka kya..uska kabhi socha hai tumne. Wo tumse kitna pyar karti hai.. aur wo ashubh ladki Lakshmi usne tumhe bhi fasa lia. Pata nai kya jadu karti hai wo ladki.
Rishi: Mom please maine kaha hai aapse aap Lakshmi ko ashubh mat boliye mujhe nai acha lagta.
Neelam: Lekin wo hai ashubh to kya kare hum. Jab bhi tumhare saath hoti hai kuch na kuch galat hota hai. Aur usme kya acha lag gya tumhe. Na class hai, na status hai kisi bhi parameter se tumhare layak nai hai wo. Hamari pasand Malishka hai tumhare lie, itni classy hai, khoobsurat hai, modern hai aur tumse kitna pyar bhi karti hai. Wo hamare taur tareeke hamare rutbe ko ache se samajhti hai.
Rishi: Par mom main Lakshmi se pyaar karta hoon aur maine Malishka ko sab sach already bata dia tha. Main usse alag ho chuka hoon, main nai karta uske lie kuch bhi feel ab aur ye usse bhi pata hai. Aur jaha tak sawal hai Lakshmi aur meri barabari ki to wo to kabhi nai ho sakti mom kyuki Lakshmi mujhse ek bahot bahot better insaan hai. Aur ye class status insab se zindagi nai chalti mom. Pyaar, respect aur companionship se chalti hai. Aur Lakshmi me wo sab hai jo mujhe apne life partner me chahiye.
Main kabhi bhi comparison me believe nai karta mom but aap ne aaj ye baat nikali hai to main aapko ye batana chahta hoon ki mujhe nai lagta ki mere aur Malishka ke beech kabhi pyar tha. Usne mujhe kabhi respect nai kia, use bas meri attention chahiye hoti thi at any cost. Usse iss baat se farak nai padta tha ki main kya feel kar rha hoon. Uske lie uss rishte me sirf wo aur uski feelings matter karti thi. Har baar mujhe emotionally blackmail karna, suicide attempt karke threaten karna ye sab ek healthy relationship nai hai mom. Usne mujhe jabardasti guilt dia hai itni baar, uski wajah se mujhe apne principles ko chhorke aisa kuch karna pada Jo main kabhi sapne me bhi nai soch sakta tha. Usne mujhe manipulate kia, mujhse jhoot bola taaki main uske paas rahu. Kya ye pyar hai mom? Agar haan to mujhe nai chahiye aisa pyaar.
Mom Lakshmi mujhe sukoon deti hai, uske saath rehke mujhe acha lagta hai. Life aasan lagti hai, wo mere aaspaas rehti hai to dil khud hi khush rehta hai. Itna acha lagta hai mujhe uske saath ki main aapko bata bhi nai sakta. Complete feel hota hai mujhe.. Main jaanta hoon mom aap mere dil ki baat samjhegi. Main sach much Lakshmi se bahot pyar karta hoon.
Neelam realises that he genuinely loves her but she is still only worried about the kundali dosh. She can accept the fact that her son would lose the love of his life but atleast he would be alive and safe. She thinks he will compromise and fall in love with Malishka or someone else eventually once Lakshmi leaves him.
Neelam: Hum samajh rhe hai Rishi tumhare dil me haalat par hamare lie tumhari jaan se badhkar kuch bhi nai hai, tumhara pyar bhi nai. Lakshmi ko tumse door Jana hi hoga. Hum uski manhoosiyat ka saaya tumpe nai padne denge. Aur iske lie Hume Jo bhi karna pade hum karenge. Dekh lena tum
Rishi is in tears hearing this but Neelam is firm and goes away from there. Lakshmi on the other hand has heard the last part of the conversation that Neelam said as she has come up after finishing her work.
She comes in to find Rishi sitting on the bed in tears. She is sad too but she has to act strong so that she could console him. She comes to him and caresses his hair.
He quickly hugs her while sitting burying his head in her. She holds him tight rubbing his back to calm him down..
Rishi: Lakshmi mom kyu nai samajhti hai. Wo mujhe tumse alag karna chahti hai. Main tumhare bina nai reh sakta Lakshmi
Lakshmi: Shh shh Rishi please pehle shant ho jao. Hume koi alag nai kar rha hai. Please shant ho jao.
Rishi: Nai Lakshmi tum mom ko jaanti nai ho, wo bahot ziddi hai. Agar unhone kuch thaan lia to wo karke hi rahengi aur wo jaanti hai ki main unki baat nai taal paunga. Wo hume nai rehne dengi saath.
Lakshmi: Rishi tum ye sab mat socho please. Aisa kuch bhi nai hoga. Mummy ji bas tumhe lekar pareshan hai. Hum unse baat karenge unhe samjhaenge. Wo tumhari Khushi ke lie kuch bhi karengi Rishi. Wo tumse bahot pyar karti hai.
She gets out of the hug and wipes his tears.
Lakshmi: Acha ab aansu pocho aur jaldi se change karke aao. Tumhe to mere saath time spend karna tha na aur tum yaha ro rhe ho.
Rishi gets up and goes to change, while he is changing in the washroom Lakshmi changes in the room itself. He comes out and hugs Lakshmi very tightly, she hugs him back and they stay like that for sometime.
She comes out of the hug and kisses his forehead. Then they lie down on the bed, this time Rishi is in Lakshmi's arms being the small spoon and she is acting as the big spoon. They talk about things in general, about the party, about Rishi's confession and how endearing it was. Lakshmi kept looking at her phone in between and Rishi didn't understand why she did that.  It was 11.59 pm. Lakshmi came down a little bit so her face was at level with Rishi. She went ahead and started kissing his lips, Rishi was surprised but didn't miss this opportunity and responded back with equal fervour. They both were ardently kissing each other and Lakshmi had understood the technicality real soon. This time it was much more passionate and urgent. They stopped when they ran out of breath.
Lakshmi (panting): I wanted ki tumhara ye birthday bahot special tareeke se end ho.
Rishi couldn't believe how lucky he got with such a wonderful wife..
Rishi: Thank you Lakshmi, thank you for everything. You really are the best thing that happened to me..
Lakshmi : And you are the best thing that happened to me.. My Mr. Perfect
Both are happy and slept blissfully hugging each other.
