Charles's POV

John and I were in the canteen eating our snacks. The exam just finished last week, and the result was announced earlier. As expected, I failed. I'm not surprised anymore.

"My exam failed again. What should I do?" I asked John, facing him with my bulging eyes.

"You need to study Charles. That's the only way to pass the exam!" John said.

I took a deep breath. How can I do that, I'm really not good in acads. "Is there no other way? I can't do that, I'm not good".

We continued to talk.

After more than thirty minutes of eating snacks and talking, we go back to our room for our last subject.

We are in the middle of the discussion. When I accidentally speak. "I'm sleepy" i said.

"Yes Mr. Charles Daf? Are you saying something? You can go home now if you feel sleepy in my class. I don't need you here".

I bowed my head in shame. I did'nt know that he heard it, it was just a whisper. He is really scary. 

Thanks god I have a classmate who talks to me. I laughed at what he said.

"My brother has a powers" he said. I can see in his eyes, and his whole face that he's not joking. He's serioussssss!

I can't stop laughing. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, are you joking? Why you still believe that. You're already Grade 12, going to college next year."  I said while holding my stomach because of him. I can't believe him.

"Get off!" He's annoyed.

I'm still laughing.

"Last warning Mr. Daf, if you don't stop I will remove you from my class record."

"Sorry Ma'am"

"Okay. So I was saying, you will have a group project for this 2nd Semester. I will group you in to five and what you will do is a role play about election. It's up to you to strategize. I'll give you 3days to practice, that's for today. Goodbye" Ma'am said and went out the door.

"Haaaaaaayss" My classmates screamed at the same time.

I was walking to the park with John and Michael. We will talk about what we will do in the role play. Our two group mates Anne and Shin were not allowed to go outside so only me, John and Michael here.

While we were walking, Michael started catch up.

"BET" Michael said as he plucked John.

I was about to run when I saw an old woman crossing the road. We were going right there, so I ran to help the old woman cross the road.

I was a little bit nervous when I approached her, but I helped her anyway.

John accidentally bumped me and my things fell.

"Oh sorry"

"It's okay"

John helped me pick up my things. The old woman was looking at my stuff.

"Are you okay with your acads? I can help you if you want". She smiled at me.

"How?" I asked.

She gave me a blueberry. "Eat this"

And because I'm silly, I ate it. And I just woke up at home. Mom said John and Michael brought me here, they said I passed out in the park.

I don't know why, but my feet took me to my backpack and my hands spontaneously moved and got a piece of paper inside. This is a letter. From who? I didn't do anything and I read it.

Take something you want to change, close your eyes and make a wish. -blbrry

I'm confused, I don't understand.

I looked in my bag, and I saw my test paper. I reached my bag and took it.

I closed my eyes when I saw my 16/55 score. "Why? I hope my score is high"

When my eyes opened, I was dazzled by the light coming from the paper. I was surprised when I saw the score, from 16 to 55/55. I don't know what to do, I'm so happy.

I went back to my bed and slept.

When I woke up, I took a shower and I immediately came out of the room. I'm about to eat but mom didn't cook breakfast. There was no one at home. I saw a letter on the counter and read it.

Goodmorning sweetheart, I'm sorry if I wasn't able to cook your breakfast. Because there was an emergency, your aunt sent me a message and said that your cousin had died. Btw, be careful when going to school, iloveyou. -Mommy

It's life, you never know when it will be taken back.

I just arrived at school. We have a subject that was not answered last week, so today we will take it this day.

The exam started. I closed my eyes and wished I pass the exam.

The exam is over and checked it. I got the highest score. It was fun.

I was eating with John and Michael at the canteen when suddenly my mom called.

"Hey mom"

"Your auntie committed suicide"

"What? No way"

The call ended.

I read a book before , a woman was given a power and every time she used it, someone died. Is this the same thing happening now? But how? That's just a fantasy.

I explained it to John and Michael. I asked them if they could help me find the old woman.

After school, we started looking for Silvana.

Silvana is the old creepy woman, I asked her in the park.

I separated.

John's POV

It's already evening, but we need to find Silvana.

"Michael, look! There's a light!"

"Let's go"

We ran and we are in front of a old house. Look like haunted house but nevermind. We are at the tip of St. Nicholas street. I called Charles and gave him the address.

Charles's POV

"She lives here" Michael said.

*knock*

The door opened and...

"Aaaaaahhhhhhhh" I screamed.

"Charles wake up, you're having nightmare" my mom said.

I held my chest and hugged my mother.
