Katherine's POV

I was walking on the sidewalk clutching to my jacket as it was freezing cold, I heard a car go by with loud teenagers cheering. College kids, I thought, come to think of it now that I have the cure in me I couldn't even remember the last time I was in school. I never even thought about it, I was running for 500 years and centuries from Klaus because all he wanted from me was to create hybrids so he could become a more powerful Original.

When I met Stefan, all my fears were all gone, I was happy with him—I couldn't even remember what that felt like—happiness. It just has a very good ring to it, but I just couldn't believe that after all these years of being a strong vampire I'm now human again.

As I was walking down the sidewalk, I soon found myself going to the Salvatore boarding house, as I was walking I heard this car pulling up next to me.

When I looked it was Nadia, my daughter who was ripped from my arms as I couldn't hold her nor see her face, I hated my father for taking her away from me. But he had his reasons, and I couldn't fight him for it no matter how hard I tried.

"Katherine, get in the car, we need to talk," she says as the window was rolled down.

I shook my head with my arms crossed, "no, I'm not getting in the car Nadia."

"Why?"

"Because, I'm on my way to see Stefan and I don't need your help, even though you're my daughter," I tell her sounding stupid on the words I was trying to say.

She looked at me as I stared at her, "just get in the car, please?"

"Why? Why do you need me to get in the car so badly? What do you want from me?" I asked her as I stopped walking the same time she stopped the car.

She sighed, put the car in park and stepped out closing the door, "because, you're my mother and you need my help. You have the cure running in your veins, that means Silas is going to come after you."

"Yeah? What does he want from me? To be his next doppelgänger love? Waiting for him for eternity to be together? Yeah, I'll pass," I sarcastically said to her as I was walking by her.

She stopped me by grabbing my arm, it hurt as I winced, "let go of me."

"No! You're coming with me one way or another Katherine, you need my help!" She argued with me giving me that similar stare I would give to people by threatening them.

I sighed clenching my jaw knowing there's no way out of this and I had to do what my daughter said, even though it should've been the other way around, but although she has her reasons to be mad at me for all these years on not being a good mother to her.

"Fine, where are you taking me?" I asked her.

"Just get in the car," she says seriously.

She let go of me as I walked to the passenger side, as I got in I closed the door buckling up. She then got inside the drivers side, closes the door and begins to drive off.

I sighed as my arm was up against the window on the door, "this better be quick, I need to see Stefan."

"I know you do, but you can wait to see your boyfriend later," she says to me sounding like my mother.

We drove passed the house I stared at it as we passed, "can I stop by now?"

"No."

"What is your deal? Why are you basically kidnapping your own mother?" I asked her staring at her.

She looked at me, "because if Silas gets to you, he'll kill you by taking the cure from you. Your blood is the cure, he needs to drink all of it to become mortal; meaning he'll be a witch."
