New Job

Month X, Day X, Year X.

my first day at work! i can't wait to meet new ventures in the future. Work on cases and serves Justice! a dream work for me indeed!.

as i walk in, i immediately go greet the receptionist with my employee namecard.

"Good morning!" i said
"good morning!, may i know- ah the new worker! welcome dear! i believe you've know what to do already, and so i'll wish you a very good day and work hard! also dont forget to scan your namecard for check-in!" as the receptionist said.
"thank you! you too miss!" i bow at her and go for the check-in scan.

i came to work pretty early today, as the usual hour is at 8 i came 30 minutes early, thinking it'd be lesser people so i can adjust to my new workspace sooner, but little did i knew that its more crowded that i thought, is it the all nighter yesterday? no one knows. Before i go to my seat, i give them a greet, good mornings and wish them a good day! a normal courtesy i say.

i sit down and getting my desk tidy. As i get down i caught a stare from my right, i see a girl staring at me, ah is it because i was too respectful? or is there something on my face? i wondered. well rather than getting in deep slumber rabbit hole, sometimes asking straight to the person itself would solve the problem.

"good morning!" i smiled as i greet her

she look rather energetic now, huh does she wants a friend? she's all smily right now.

"Morning!!" she said with a big smile. it almost creeped me out.

"sorry it might sounds rude but, you've been staring at me, did i make you uncomfortable or did i do something wrong?" i asked.

i look straight in her eyes, she look rather shock, ah i know now why she's staring at me.

"no no! you misunderstand me! i didnt mean to stare you like that, i- i was just looking how diligent you are and you're really admirable, you give off that kind of charm!"
"i really want to be friends with you! can i? can we??" as she said with a puppy eyes at me.

oh this is fun, i want to tease her a bit
"hmmmm, im afraid we can't ".

"yay tha- what? w-why, did i made a bad first impression and now you dont like me?" she said with her mouth pouting. cute.

"hmmm nope, but we cant be friends if we dont know each other's name, say what's your name?" i said while patting her head.

"im Kiki! Kiki Bennet! so whats your name now?"

"y/n"

"y/n! now we know each other's name, lets be friends!!"

i giggles at her quietly since its still morning and everyone seems souless and unenergetic. all of them pouring and devouring coffee. well soon will be me anyway.

i look at her, and offered my hand.

"lets work hard together " i smiled.

"yes!" she said while holding my hand with both of hers.

celestine whos looking afar just smile, "the new workers are so friendly unlike certain someone" she said slyly

the man whos working endlessly behind her just ignored her.

"haiyayaya, you really are helpless".

the man still doesnt make a noise.

"oya? the new workers are coming here" celestine said, she purposely open the door wide enough for them to see the man behind her.

"ah thats miss celestine! lets greet her" kiki said.

we both walk to her together

both: bowing

"good morning miss celestine!".
"good morning miss celestine".

we said at the same time.

"good morning, so how's the office now?"

kiki rise her "we're still adjusting, but everything is comfortable!" she said with a smile.

for a while us and our boss, celestine are having a conversation about works this and that, but for some time Kiki kept looking inside the room instead of celestine.

i look at miss celestine smiling "are you curious about whos in this office right now".

"kiki, your stares was obvious" i said to her while shaking my head.

"ahahaa. sorry but i was-"
before Kiki could finish her sentence, miss celestine cut her.
"hahaha its okay!. hey your heard that right, come here" she said with a playful look.

ah i see, she's teasing him.

the man is just looking at her, sighing loudly then stand up and walk towards us.

"alright alright, so this is your youngest senior attorney here, his name is Artem Wing, you might heard of him before" Celestine said smugly.

Mr. Wing look at her and sigh again.

"and this is your new junior, Kiki Bennet and y/n, treat them nicely okay?" as she sigh
"dont scare them ok?"

Mr. Wing just glance at us with a tired look. Kiki look all tensed up, ah so its my turn to speak now? i bump kiki's arm to signal her.

"good morning Mr. Wing" as i bow to him.
and kiki follow my instructions.

"good morning" he replied coldly.

"haish, you will never have friends at work if you're like this"

"this is work place, why should i and why would i? work is work, and that matter is outside of it". he said.

Celestine look stunned, she's giving him a disappointed look, poor him.

"now its done may i continue my work?" he ask

"haish go on" celestine just massaging her head and her hand gesture saying get off.

"have a nice work Mr. Wing" i said
he freeze, he looked at me for a few seconds and walk off again with a
"you too".

celestine is now back in her fox form. she's smiling smugly. she caught something interesting.

"you two can go now, check your mails and do a good job okay!"

me and kiki then bowed to her once again and said "you too miss celestine and thank you!".

"so you like her huh?" she said.
