Disclaimer: I never actually came out to my prents, but I did come out to a few of my friends as a lesbian. I've been waiting til I get a girlfriend and tell my parents about her so that it seems like it isn't that big of a deal to me. I've never really had any confidence issues or a bad support system, so don't think that I do. I am very lucky to have what I have in a heterosexually normal environment.
I told my friends on WattPad.
I created a book on advice on Bisexuality with my personal WattPad account and then when I figured out I was a lesbian, I added on the last page that I was a lesbian. Most of my friends saw it and they were very supportive and excited that they had a gay best friend.
I then shortly afterward got an amazing girlfriend, but sadly, i broke it off because we were more like friends, than partners.
