Vicah was born to an old couple, old enough to be her grandparents. Her mom was 67 and her dad was 71. During birth, her mom suffered a heart attack due to high blood pressure in the pregnancy, her father died soon after due to similar complications. Her eldest sister, Beppa, was 30 years old. Her brother, Charles, was 25. Unfortunately, Charles had his own family in Maryland, on the other side of America. The only other family member nearby was Beppa, however, she doesn’t like children. Despite her disliking of kids, she adopted Vicah to avoid putting her in foster care where she might be adopted by a family who didn’t care about her. Beppa didn’t consider Vicah an annoying child, but she was a bother because she would constantly cry about nightmares. The only one was about a girl with purple skin and a face that seemed to lead into the void of nothingness. For years, that woman would be in her dreams. Vicah could never talk in those dreams, only look and feel the things around her. Beppa always told her that it was only a dream, but Vicah always knew there was something special about that dream. Vicah was now a teenager, a thirteen-year-old girl. She made two friends who she tells everything to. Dylan and Ian. They have been her friends since she was young. Both boys her age. When Vicah told her friends everything, she didn’t mean everything. There’s one specific thing she has never told them. She never said anything about the monster. Every day, before she woke up from the nightmare, the monster would say “Don’t say anything to them.” She didn’t know what that meant at first, but she found out after a few times she said that. Because of that, she always feared for their safety. But one day, Dylan noticed something off about her. She wasn’t herself.
