Rocks and dust started to fall on top of the elevator and the group could also see a light over them
"What's that?" asked Henry
"Our rescue" said Angie
They could see now that it was Emma coming to get them "Are you guys okay?" she asked them
"Yeah, we're okay" answered the doctor
"Okay, that's good, stop" said Emma through the walkie on her shoulder to the people lowering her. She was now standing on top of the elevator and was able to open the emergency exit's grid
"Come on Henry, you go first" Angie said as she and Archie helped him up
"Here you go, up" the doctor said
"Come on, I got you" Emma said as she grabbed him "Okay, okay I got him" she told them
"You got him? Is he safe?" Archie asked as the elevator started to shake
"Angie!?" "Archie!?" mother and son shouted with worry
"It's gonna fall!" Angie shouted back
"No!!" Emma screamed
Archie grabbed Angie then and pulled her close to him "Hold on!" he told her. Angie did so, like she was giving him a hug and Archie hooked his umbrella on one of the carabineers on Emma's harness just as the elevator fell all the way down
They quickly pulled everyone out and once they were on the surface Archie and Marco reunited and Regina took Henry to check on him. As soon as Emma was out of the harness, she too tried to check on her son "Henry, are you okay?" she asked, but Regina stopped her from getting close to Henry "Deputy, you can clear the crowd away" she said coldly and walked away with Henry
"Emma!" Angie called her sister over and they hugged
Regina went to talk to Archie then "Thank you, Dr. Hopper" she said smiling
"Actually, you should thank Angie Swan. And I, I have something to say" he told her, the smile leaving her face "I'm going to continue to treat Henry, and I'm going to do it my own way"
"My relief at his safety hasn't changed a thing, Dr. Hopper. You will do as I say, or you-" she started to threaten him, but he cut her off "Or what? You'll ruin my life? You'll do your worst? Because I will always do my best"
"Don't test me" warned the mayor
"Oh, I don't need to. Because you're going to leave me alone and let me do my work. In peace" he told her
"Really? Why's that?" wondered Regina
"Because someday, Madam Mayor, you may find yourself in a custody battle" the doctor said "And you know how the court determines who is a fit parent? They consult an expert. Particularly one who has treated the child. So, I suggest that you think about that. And you allow me to do my work. And let me do it the way my conscious tells me to" and with that said, Archie walked away from the now speechless woman
Regina went looking for Angie next "Miss Swan? Can I have a word, please?" she said and stepped away without waiting for a response "Your sister said you were supposed to bring Henry home, yet you decided it was a good idea to bring him here?" she questioned her
"No, I was taking Henry to your house but he was determined to come to the mines" Angie explained "There was no way for me to change his mind, he was coming no matter what. So I made the choice of coming with him to make sure he was okay"
"You consider being trapped in a mine "okay"?" asked Regina
"Well at least he wasn't alone, was he?" replied Angie "Do you know why he wanted to come here so badly?" she asked then
Regina put on a face of indifference before answering "According to your sister, he thought he had something to prove, which I think is ridiculous"
"No, it's not ridiculous, it's the truth" said Angie "And do you know the reason why he felt like that? Because you forced Dr. Hopper to destroy his imagination. You made your son's only friend make him think he was crazy. I really hope that wasn't intentional, because that's a pretty bad parenting move on your part" and once more, Regina was left alone and speechless
It was starting to get dark but everyone was still at the tunnel's entrance. Emma, Henry and Angie were sitting on the ground, watching Marco and Archie talk animatedly
"Is that Archie's father?" Emma asked, watching the interaction
"No, they're just old friends" Henry told her
Emma held Henry's hand "You really scared me" she said "Both of you" she added looking at her sister
"I'm sorry. It was my fault" Henry admitted
"There was no stopping him" Angie explained "If you can't beat them, join them, right?" she said bumping her shoulder with her nephew's and winking at him
Archie and Marco approached the group "Gentlemen" Emma greeted them, then turned to Henry "Well come on" she said getting up "Your mom wants to take you home"
"Wait, listen" Angie said
They all stood in silence for a moment, listening to the crickets
"Crickets" Archie realized
"They're back" Henry said softly "Things are changing" he then said looking at his mom
While everyone was distracted, still celebrating the successful rescue, Regina dropped the piece of glass she had taken the previous night into the shaft, letting it fall all the way down until it landed next to the broken glass coffin of Snow White
