That Still Small Voice - Part 1

"I told you, you're changing things, you're weakening the curse" Henry told his mom

"That's not what's happening" Emma denied

"Yes, it is" Henry insisted

"Henry, I told you to wait in the car" Regina's stern voice cut the discussion as she came over "Deputy, do your job. Dr Hopper, a word, please?"

Regina then took Archie apart and proceeded to threaten him in order to make him stop Henry's "delusions".

Tuesday, November 5

It was around noon and Mary Margaret was volunteering at the hospital, playing hangman with David Nolan. He'd been progressing well physically and the doctors decided to send him home by the end of the week, even if he still couldn't remember anything from before waking up. Mary Margaret's good mood was unfortunately ruined by David's wife Kathryn coming over.

After his talk with the mayor the day before, Archie couldn't help but do what she'd told him, no matter how worried he was about how this next session with Henry would turn out. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realize what time it was when there was a knock on his door.

"Hey, Arch" Marco said when the door opened

"Marco? What are you doing here?" Archie asked his friend

"It's lunch time" Marco said

"Oh, lunch. I'm sorry, I forgot- I got another patient. Another time?" Archie apologized

"Sure, of course" Marco replied

Henry came in then, passing Marco by the door

"Hey! Have a good session, Henry" he told him before closing the door for them and leaving

"Are you recruiting Geppetto for Operation Cobra?" Henry asked Archie

"You think Marco's Geppetto?" Archie asked back

"Sure. He's Jiminy Cricket's best friend and Marco's yours" Henry explained

"Henry... Henry, look. W-We really need to talk about this, okay?" Archie said looking seriously at Henry

"I know you're not convinced, but I know where I can get proof" Henry said, missing the seriousness of the situation. Instead, he showed Archie what he had in his backpack

"What is this?" the doctor asked "Flashlight? Candy bars? Oh, wait, Henry" he said when he figured the kid's plan "Henry, you do not want to go down there"

"Emma and Angie are here and stuff's happening. I have to look at it" Henry pointed out

"Henry, Henry. Stop. Stop!" Archie said, grabbing Henry and forcing him to sit down "There is no proof. Look, all of this, all of this, is a delusion. Do you know what a delusion is?"

"I... I think so" Henry said softly and confused

"It's something that's not real" Archie explained "And, and not healthy. And I thought that you'd outgrow this, but Henry, you know... now it's turned into a psychosis. Do you know what a psychosis is? That's when you can longer tell what's real and if that continues, then... Then I have to lock you away" he said looking at Henry in the eyes "Henry, look. This has to stop for your own good. You got to wake up. This nonsense must end" he stated

Henry stood up then, and he quickly left without saying a word.

Mary Margaret was back at her place, with Emma and Angie. She was stress-eating and rumbling about her morning at the hospital "I'm the worst person in the world" she said
