A 5'11/180.3cm tall woman with messy black hair tied back and white highlights that shape their face, wearing a silky sage dress that complimented their body shape. When a waiter approached them, she asked for a table for two, yet no one was beside Eden. The waiter guides them to the table as she carefully sits down on the chair and stares at the empty chair opposite her, but comes to her senses when she gets handed a menu from them, softly telling them:
"Thank you". A few minutes past and a petite guy with snow white hair and bunny ears came into the restaurant, fully dressed like the other waiters, but somewhat standing out from the rest of them. Co-workers of his started laughing a bit as he was usually a little late to work, but it didn't bother him as he just waved it off to them and got started on making drinks, as well as, occasionally helping the other bartenders as there was a built-in bar in the restaurant.
Eden sat in silence as she looked through the menu as waited patiently for her date to arrive. Over time, Eden got a little worried that they weren't going to turn up for the special occasion that she set up that day, but she already picked out what she was having for the starter and main course. After Leo had made the drinks, nobody seemed to be coming in, so he had a little downtime as he made some conversations with his co-workers. Yet he went to help others as he usually did most of the time, if he didn't have anything to do but he'd help around whenever else he could. Eden looked around, that gut feeling that they wouldn't turn up and the feeling of disappointment rose in her soul as she looked at the ice-cold water, turning the transparency of the glass frosted. Sighing under her breath, "couldn't get any worse...", this happened to Eden too many times that it's come to the point that she'd give up on dating people.
Soon it was getting quieter by the second Leo noticed, yet he went back to an office and walked inside it, and turned on the radio to listen to the music that sat in the office when no one was around. The volume of the music rose, but it was faint when it exited the restaurant and Leo didn't like quiet places, so that's why he put on the music. Eden could hear the faint music clearly because of her species being great at hearing stuff out, yet she hummed to the music slightly. But she thought to themselves that she should head home as it was getting late and needed to get home at some point and needed pay for their food. Unsure who to ask, she looked around the restaurant to see if anyone was able to let Eden pay for the food. Someone noticed Eden at their table, yet she seemed done with the bullshit that had happened at the restaurant.
The worker walked up to Leo in the office and pointed to Eden, but he nodded and smiled at his co-worker. He'd smiled before going and grabbing the receipt, and the stuff he needed before approaching Eden then approached the table, bowing towards them. She looked up to see that Leo had come to her table, proceeding to comment in a sad tone, "Thank you for this amazing meal, it was delicious," she said as she proceeds to get out her wallet to pay. He could hear the sadness in her tone, but he dismissed it, "You're welcome." Even if he didn't like speaking to strangers, he would say a few words to not be seen as rude, yet some people complained about how quiet he was at times. She took the amount of money that was needed to pay for themselves but gave an extra tip to him as she stood up to leave, "for you, and thank you once again," giving him a soft smile before leaving the restaurant. He noticed the extra money, but stared at it and stared at Eden when she walked out. Leo let out a small smile as he took the money to the register to put in it. Then he heads back to the table she sat at to start tidying it up, taking the dishes to the kitchen to wipe clean.
As soon as Eden was outside the restaurant, tears started to form in her eyes because of another failed date with another person, her luck with dates wasn't the greatest as Eden wasn't their type or didn't show up at all asking themselves, "What am I doing wrong." Leo went back to his station, but the thought of the sadness he heard in Eden's voice as he hummed quietly and wondered if something happened to her, soon he started to frown at the thought, but soon snapped back to reality as he was called to get another drink started. Eden sat on the bench near the restaurant as she focuses on her phone, texting the person why they didn't turn up to the date, tears rolling down her face onto the phone screen. "They couldn't tell me sooner...amazing...," she turns off her phone, holding it in one hand as she wipes the tears off her soft, fair skin.
After a few hours went by, it was getting pretty late out and almost everyone was gone as the worker started cleaning down everything to close down the restaurant. Once everything was done, everyone started heading back to their cars, but Leo always walked home so he went by the front door and locked it as he started heading home, stretching a bit as his bunny tail twitched. At this time, Eden was still on the same bench, continuously crying over until their eyes hurt, she wasn't planning to move an inch. He could hear the faint crying as he walked away from the restaurant. His ears pointed upwards, which is something that he could do sometimes, he looked around the area until his gaze landed on the same person he saw at the restaurant under a street lamp, crying. Leo's ears drooped down and quietly walked over to her, but staying a safe distance away. Not wanting to scare her, hesitating, "are...are you okay ma'am?" he spoke softly as he tilted his head. She gets slightly startled and started to wipe their tears away quickly, "Y-Yes! Sorry, I am...fine...just something happened, that's all." She let out a small awkward laugh to mask her sadness when sniffling, feeling the air burn the inside of her nose. His face dimmed a bit as he knew she wasn't totally okay because of the previous interaction between them.
