It's just a movie, or is it?

A turn of events

David and Maddy arrived on set. Some of the actors getting make-up on and the set designers finishing putting the set together. David let go of her hand, and winked at her as he walked to the make-up section. Gwen came up to Maddy.

"I think you like him.."She teased her. Maddy rolled her eyes. "He's no match for me." Maddy lied. She kept staring at him, wondering about the thing he had said to her. Another bell rang in the distance.

"Okay people! We need to run this and get this done by tonight! Actors take your place on the set!" The director called out.  The actors ran to their places on the stage, their costumes were beautiful beyond recognition. Maddy turned on her headset as the lights dimmed for the scene. So elegant and colorful, they looked like the real characters from the time of the movie.

"Action!" The director shouted from her chair. The actors began to act out the scene, David coming in from a door into the ballroom, finding the queen alone. David walked up to her. "My lady, it seems I've been away far enough." He said, his voice echoing.

She turned to him, looking away from the window  and smiled. "It's you." She said sweetly. "I thought I would never see you again." David smiled. "May I have this dance?" He said bowing slowly, his hand held out to her, his eyes fixed on her. She smiled and took his hand, curtsying softly. Sweet music began to play, as they began to waltz across the floor.

She looked so happy in his arms as they danced, as if she was in a daze. He twirled her once and then twice, both of them moving as one person. Maddy was amazed on how good of a dancer David was, swaying to the waltz music being played, wishing it was her dancing with him. Gwen, Maddy's co-worker, spun in a little circle pretending that she had a partner.

The director was observing closely, her advisers giving their input to her as the scene went on. She then got up and started commenting on their performance. Maddy turned to Gwen. "Gwen..who's that actress dancing with David?" She whispered to her. Gwen smiled. "That's Corrine." She whispered back. "She's great isn't she?" Maddy nodded once and turned her attention to the director.

"A little quieter on the music please thank you.." She said into her mini microphone. The music toned down softly. She got closer to the set. "Now enter Lord Dean, David and Corrine stop the dancing as soon as he walks in." She said to them. They heard her as she spoke, the music stopped as Lord Dean walks in, David and Corina both look at him as he growls in discust and jelousy and turns away, walking back out the door.

"Lord Dean!" Corrine said calling out to him, breaking the connection to David's hands heading for the door. "Lord Dean!" David called out from where he stood. He followed Corrine. "Lord Dean!" He called out again. The set went black. "Cut!" The director called out, the set becoming lit again. "Okay everyone that's a wrap! Have a great rest of the evening!" She said following her advisers to the offices.

Gwen squealed. "We're done for the rest of the night! I'm so excited! Maddy what are you going to do tonight?" Maddy looked at her. "I'm not sure yet.."She said as David walked up to her. Gwen saw David and smiled. Maddy looked at him. "What's wrong?" She said as she saw the worry in his eyes.

Gwen looked at David and Maddy. "I can see you have plans. I'll be at the hotel if you need me." She whispered to Maddy. "Goodnight David." She said softly and walked away. David nodded to her as she left and took Maddy's hand. "I need to talk to you. It's important." Maddy looked worried and nodded as he led her to his trailer.

"I wonder what's wrong..." Maddy thought to herself. "He looks really worried about something...I wonder what it is."
