35. The Much Needed Confrontation

Priya went to Sandy's room but it was empty. So she went downstairs.
Priya: Punnu? Sandy ko dekha hai?
Punnu: Ha Sandy madam poolside pe hai.
Priya: Oh okay. Thank you.
Punnu: Welcome Bhabhi.
Priya went to the poolside and saw Sandy looking at the sky with a very sad expression. Priya went and sat beside her. They sat there silently for sometime.
Finally Sandy spoke.
Sandy: Pri di hamare saath hi aisa kyun hua? Ma ne kyun kia aisa?
Priya: Kaash mujhe pata hota Sandy. Kaash main Shivi ka haath pakad paati uss din. Kaash maine blame apne sar nahi liya hota. Kaash mujhe pehle se pata hota ke unhone itna bada sach chipaya humse, Mr. Kapoor se. Kaash main samajh paati sab kuch Property ke liye ho raha tha. Bohot regrets hai Sandy.
Sandy: Pri di main na kabhi kabhi sochti hoon agar yeh sab nahi hua hota toh hum sab saath mein hote. Pihu ko dekh pate hum jab woh choti si thi. Shivi di rehti Akki bhaiya rehte. Jiju aur aap kabhi alag nahi hote. Khush hote hum sab. Patte ke mahal ki tarah sab bikhar gaya.
Priya sighed deeply.
Sandy: I hope sab jaldi thik ho jaye. All of this isn't good for Pihu. Hum toh bade hain hume itni problem ho rahi hai, usspe kiya beetti hogi. Pehli baar Jiju se mili usme bhi santi nahi hai.
Priya: I hope so too.
They again became silent.

Ram checked the clock it was 8am. He decided to wake Pihu up as the Soods were to reach there by 10am. Krish would come to take Pihu out on a playdate. He sighed deeply thinking what would happen.
Ram caressed Pihu's head and kissed her forehead.
Ram: Pihu? Princess Good morning! Wake up.
Pihu's sleep didn't break.
Ram(lightly shaking her): Pihu bachhe wake up.
Pihu: Mmmmm...
Pihu hugged him more tightly.
Ram chuckled softly.
Ram: Bachhe uth jao. Dekho sab uth gaye hain. Krish bhi toh aane wala hai na? Playdate pe jana hai aapko. Poora din Krish ke saath masti karni hai. Uske ke liya ready hona padega. Uth jao bachhe.
Pihu slowly opened her eyes with her signature morning pout that wouldn't leave her face for another 30 minutes at least.
Ram: Good morning Princess.
Pihu(rubbing her eyes): Morning.
Pihu turned to Priya's side but got no sign of her.
Pihu: Mummaaaaa!
Ram: Bachhe your mumma is  downstairs. Today give me a huggy first.
Pihu(frowning then shaking her head): No. Mumma!
Ram pouted.
Ram(forwarding his arms to her): Aajao.
Pihu: No. Mumma!
Ram: Aareeyy Pihu yaar niche hi lekar jayunga Mumma ke paas! Aao.
Pihu thought for a moment, frowning then went to his arms.
Ram went out of the room with her.
Pihu: Mummaaaa!
Ram(mimicking her): Mummaaaa!
Pihu looked at him irritated.
Pihu(firmly): My Mumma!
Ram: Ha jaanta hoon tumhari mumma hai.
Ram shook his head.
"Iss time bomb ki sole custody dena chahti thi Priya mujhe! She doesn't wanna give me a huggy in the morning! Sab emotionally decision lena hai usse! Ram tu kya Priya ko bol raha hai. Tu toh har waqt emotional ho jata hai.", he thought.
They came downstairs.
Ram: Punnu? Where's Priya?
Punnu: Woh Sir Bhabhi aur Sandy ma'am poolside pe hain.
Ram: Okay.
Ram took Pihu to the poolside and saw Priya and Sandy engrossed in a serious discussion.
Pihu(shaking her arms): Mummaaa!
Priya looked at the father-daughter duo and smiled cheekily.
Priya forwarded her arms to Pihu. Pihu went to her and hugged her tightly, placing her head on her chest.
Priya: Arreyyy mera bachha! Uth gaye. Good morning!
Pihu: Morning Mumma!
Priya kissed the side of her head.
Priya and Sandy(looking at Ram): Good morning.
Ram: Morning.
Priya: Aapne uthaya?
Ram: Haan. Ready bhi karwana hai usse. Isliye.
Priya: Achha kia.
Pihu whined and kissed Priya's cheek. Priya smiled and kissed her cheek, then started caressing her hair.
"Baat hi toh kar rahi thi mujhse Priya woh bhi pasand nahi hai! Poora attention chahiye usse! Agar main aise muh fulake baitha rahoon toh kya mujhe bhi Priya hug karegi? Aur kisses?", his eyes sparkled at the thought of it.
Priya: Chalo baby brushing time. (Looking at Ram and Sandy): Main jaati hoon.
Ram and Sandy nodded.
Priya went upstairs with Pihu.

Sandy: Morning mein alag hi cheez hai Pihu toh!
Ram(complaining): She didn't even give me a hug. 50 bar Mumma bol chuki hai ab tak.
Sandy chuckled at that.
Ram: Tu thik hai na?
Sandy(sighing): I don't know Jiju. The situation is just not okay. I'm done with my own family. I just can't accept that ma lied to you, hid such a huge thing! Sara di ne bhi jhooth bola. Ha manti hoon ke woh darr gayi thi Ishaan ke liye aur ma ne Ishaan ka naam leke unhe bhi chup kara dia. Aur Ishaan ki baat toh mujhe karni hi nahi hai. 13 yrs ke bachhe mein itna gussa?
Sandy looked at Ram with tears in her eyes.
Sandy: Ha Shivina di toh marne ka irada nahi tha uska! But he pushed her out of anger! It's not okay! She's never gonna come back! Never!
Ram also became teary.
Sandy: I just want to say one thing! Aap dono jo decision loge I'm with you.
Ram: If you feel we're doing something that you feel is not okay. Voice it today. Please Sandy. Yeh sirf hamari baat nahi hai. Sab ki hai. Okay?
Sandy nodded.
Sandy: Main Akki bhaiya ko lene jaa rahi hoon Airport se.
Ram: Take the car Sandy. Driver hai.
Sandy: No I can manage.
Ram: Please Sandy. Yaar tum sab aise kyun ho? Manta hoon main strong ho independent ho and I respect that. But aise kyun ho? Behen hai yaar tu meri.
Sandy chuckled.
Sandy: Okay fine. I'll take the car.
Ram: Ha ab thik hai.
They both smiled at each other.
Sandy left for the airport after getting ready.
