Chapter one
Emma is a confusing young girl, she has always had problems. She knew at a very young age that she didn't really fit in, but she tried. Her elementary life was like any other, she made friends, lost friends, threw tantrums, got hurt. But when she entered sixth grade, she noticed something; she noticed that she was daydreaming about a girl!
A girl who had curly brown hair, olive skin, and hazel green eyes. Emma noticed this, she noticed how pretty the girl was. The more she thought about the girl, the more she imagined... Soon she was thinking about the girls lips, how pink they were, how nice they looked, and wondered how it would be to kiss the girl. That is when Emma realized that something was different, she would find girls pretty, not normally where she would compare herself.
No, she noticed their general beauty. She would get distracted at school by girls, so she did some research! She found this group called the LGBTQ community. She heard of them before, but she only knew about gay and lesbian, nothing else.
She found out about so much more; bisexual, pansexual, asexual, transgender, nonbinary, pangender, panromatic, biromantic, aromantic, [ect...]. Since of the recent events, she thought she was a lesbian. She was fine with it until seventh grade, she noticed how she also found boys cute. So now she claimed herself to be bisexual, but she got confused fast. She started wondering about her gender identity.
She questioned non-binary but then found out she liked the term pangender. Which is someone who uses all pronouns, so she claimed herself bisexual and pangender all through seventh grade and eighth grade. Then summer hit, she felt wrong, she felt like she was wrong. As if nothing fit her, not lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, nothing. One day she was watching one of her favorite online idols, and they were coming out as unlabeled.
Emma didn't know what that meant, she had never heard of it before. So what did she do? She did more research! She looked it up, found the flag, definition, and famous people who were known as unlabeled. For some reason she felt accepted with herself, she felt calm. All that time of research she finally found herself! She now used she/they pronouns, was unlabeled, and was pangender.
She felt happy, so happy and organized. But one thing was nagging her, one thing she has never been good at; relationships. She has been in quite a few, but they never turned out good. She hung out with some people who were just focused on kissing, getting comfort, and having someone to dump their feelings onto because they felt like their partner's job was to make them happy.
This ruined Emma's sense of love, she barely knew how to find it. But oh how she longed to find that person she needed, she wanted that since of dependence on each other, she wanted comfort, she wanted true love. Sadly, she hasn't found it yet. But this takes us to the present day! Emma's first day of highschool.
