chapter 1

the whole day went by pretty smoothly, i was so grateful that i only had finny in one class i mean what are the odds!

as i was walking out the big doors a foot tripped me on the way out making me stumble but i caught my balance and looked back to see who tripped me

finney blake was just standing there innocently smiling at me while i had a rush of anger in my body, my face started to get red from fuming

"what the actual fuck finney" i said as i slammed him into a locker

"ouch" he screeched putting a hand on his back

"just so you know you look really ugly today" he said as a grin re-appeared on his face

i scoffed and walked off, i knew i didn't look ugly today he was just trying to say something to get on my nerves

as i walked on the side of the road gwen and finney usually walk on i saw a poster and it was new

"bruce yamada" i  said out loud reading the new poster taped up on a fence

it was a kid that had gone missing, i have heard the rumours about the grabber coming back and taking kids, well i heard most of them from gwenny

as i looked at the paper for a few more seconds i felt a sharp pain in my back as someone jammed there elbow on my lower back

i already knew who it was i looked up to see gwen and finney slowly walking a little ahead of me

i walked up to finney and pushed him on the ground

"what the fuck do you want dickhead" i said

he got up and pushed me back which made me fall onto the ground

"shut the fuck up ugly ass" he said

"if you ever touch me again i'll beat your ass" i said getting up slowly

gwenny was already walking ahead abit because she knew what was happening

"i'd like to see you fucking try" he said as he got water from his backpack and dumped it all over me

"what the fuck!" i shrieked

he just laughed and ran up to gwenny both walking the direction back to their house

i heard gwenny say "why are you such a dick to her" from awhile away as she nudged him into the fence

the rest of their chat got muffled out as they started walking faster to their house

i huffed and decided to start walking back to my house in my drenched clothes

as i made it into my house i went straight to my room taking off my wet clothes and replaced them with clean comfy ones

I silently cried not wanting my parents to hear me because if they did i would get the whole
"crying is for whimps" talk with them again

I looked in the mirror seeing my red face covered in tear stains after crying for awhile

"am i really that ugly" i said to myself quietly

i thought i looked very pretty for my age but i guess not if someone literally bullies me for my looks

i just needed to sleep this off i thought in my head as i went to my bed and had a great sleep

i woke up this morning kinda excited? i had no idea why but i straightened my hair making it look flawless put on some mascara and changed into a super cute outfit

as i walked too school my mood changed instantly as i saw all the kids eyeing me giving me dirty looks

i walked with a confused look on my face as i went to the first person i saw that made me feel safe and always knew what was going on

"livvy do you know why everyone is staring at me" i said to her concerned

livvy was another one of jenna's greatest friends, sure she was way popular but she treated jenna like a real person and she liked that

"omg jenna everyone is talking about it" she said

"about what! what is everyone talking about?" i said now very concerned

"that you called finney hot, and said you would date him instantly if he asked you" livvy said

"what. i never said that!" i said with an angry look on my face

"i'm sorry jenna, the rumour is spreading very fast"

"this is so annoying!!" i said angrily

i was wondering who could have started this rumour, sure i was well known but i wasn't popular enough to make people start rumours about me

as i made my way to my first class i saw finny with a sly look on his face

i rolled my eyes and went to sit by donna as soon as i sat down i put my head on my desk

"jenna what's wrong" she said worriedly

"some stupid person made a rumour about me that i called finny hot and said i would date him and stuff" i said quietly making sure no one heard me except for donna

"oh" she said

i was confused because she would usually comfort me and tell me everything was ok

i just day dreamed in my thoughts until i felt a note brush on my arm to my desk

i looked at the note and it read

i wrote back aggressively almost making the pencil go straight through the paper

i looked back to see finney laughing at the note,
what a dick i thought
