Introduction

Nyx was always a hard worker, even more when it came to her career. She loved working behind the stage, helping the stage managers and directing her own team. She loved the way the entire thing seemed chaotic to people who didn't know theater but how it seemed so organized to those who worked in the industry.

At the moment she was running a practice stage, shouting directions to her team as she stood on the stage, the other leaders next to her.

She was one of three heads in the company, having the most experienced when it comes to the light and sound boards as well as knowing a lot as an assistant stage manager.

Nyx will be the main light board operator when it comes to live theater or musicals, but when it comes to concerts, she will be acting dual as a light board operator and assistant stage manager.

The practice run didn't take long and soon enough, the company finished. "See you guys here tomorrow five hours before showtime!" Nyx called out to her team as she waved goodbye to them and to everyone else. As she headed to the parking lot, her phone rang with a specific ringtone. A smile appearing on her face as she answered the phone.

"Well if it isn't the baby koala", she said with a chuckle as she unlocked her car and open the driver's door.

There was a chuckle from the other end of the phone. "After all these years, you still uses that nickname", the male said smiling. "Yeah it's me; how are you doing today?"

"Just finish a practice run at the company", she replied as she set the call on speaker. She had always loved how his accent sounded. "What about you? I heard you finished a tour and are about to do Kcon as well?"

"yeah yeah we just finish the tour... I am sorry I couldn't get one of the stops be in driving distance to you... I was hoping to see you again. Now I'm back home and doing all the prep work for kcon without a hug from my baby bat" the aussie said as he closed his office door to prevent one of his seven children from ease dropping

"It's alright love", Nyx said softly as she sighed. "But funny enough, I was in LA, when you guys were doing your Inglewood performance, I was stuck doing my show for Tina Turner".

"Wait really you should of told me! I could of gotten an extra day so we could see each other!" Bangchan said as he plopped onto the couch "or at least I could watch you work".

"It was only one day and then I had to go back to our home theater to get ready to do some recitals coming up", she told him softly as she frowned. "I would have loved to seen you on stage again. However, I might be in LA again by Kcon".

"Well promise me, you will see me. I can give you the key to my room so you can sneak in," Chan said smiling as he grabbed a blanket to cuddle with.

"I will Channie", she said with a smile as she started driving towards her place. "Message me once you are back in LA".

The two kept talking as Nyx drove back to her place. She loved talking to him, she loved how the two could spend just hours talking and lose track of time and whatever they were doing.

A soft sigh left the male as he locked his phone and looked at the ceiling. It had been close to four years since he had since her, face to face. He rang one of his hands down his face, another sigh leaving him. He missed his best friend way to much and it hurt him whenever they had to end their calls. A knock sounded against his office door. "Come in", the Australian Korean said.

"Ready?" He heard his friend called. "Yeah", he replied before he stood up from his chair and walked over to his friends.

"Eyyy, Chan-Hyung is finally here", he heard ChangBin called out, as he walked out of his office, followed by Minho.

The leader of Stray Kids chuckled and join his seven kids, still hiding the pain of having to end the call with his girlfriend/best friend.

Felix frowned a bit as he looked at Chan. He was the only that knew what Chan did when it was a certain hour and while he always seemed slightly down after that time passed.
