Look at me not adding a single word about the love interest and making it all about Arisu and Satoru's fucked up co-dependent upbringing. I love family dramas.

Arisu's cursed technique is inspired by the Japanese myth with the same name: a type of yokai, a golden orb-weaver spider that becomes the size of a cow and develops the magical ability to turn into a beautiful woman to seduce and kill men when it reaches 400 years of age. A true girlboss and the worst nightmare of an arachnophobe — after the spider in the Limbo game. I got some inspiration from my childhood trauma while designing the shikigami. There's a cover art type of drawing I made of Arisu and Jorogumo instead of finishing the prologue (except for the eyes in the background. My skills end when it comes to drawing eyelashes). So sad I forgot Wattpad's size limit and worked on a large canvas out of habit. Quality loss pains me physically.
