Prologue

"Miss Santos, could you show your smile at the camera? Thank you."

I smiled at the cameras while waving at the Manila Grand Ball. I look stunning at my red gown that my personal designer make. After some time is we immediately went to the van para makabalik na kami sa office.

"So Violle, have you ever thought any designs?"

A normal thing when i came to the office. Mom is busy writing something while she's sitting on her big rotating chair that she bought a year ago.

"Violle Santos! Are you even listening!? "

I immediately blinked and came to my senses whenever i hear that shout coming from her. I always hated that.

"Y-Yes m-mom of course i do. " i nervously comply while handing her the designs that i make weeks ago.

"Impressive." Tipid nyang saad while playing with her pen. "By the way, ikaw muna sasama kay Khai sa check-up nya. You know that im busy—

"Busy? Mom are you serious? You're being busy na nakaupo kalang dito sa office mo all day while Khai is funding you because he wants to spend time with you pero hindi mo yun binibigay sakanya. Anong klase kang ina." I said while i was leaving and i can feel her anger whenever i talked about her responsibilities.

Since mom is always busy at work all the time. Since then, ako na ang nagbabantay kay Khai since he was a little kid. I never understand mom why would she adopt a kid na hindi nya naman babantayan but she always say from the past na napilitan lang syang ampunin si Khai.

"Paki ayos napo nung sasakyan, may check-up si Khai." Utos ko sa driver ko at ahad nilang inayos ang sasakyan at umupo na ako sa loob ng kotse at nag drive na ang driver ko papunta sa house para sunduin si Khai.

"Ate." He came running to hug me tight and i kissed his head.

"Are you prepared na?" Tanong ko at tumango sya at nagdala na ng kanyang maliit na bag.

"Give it to ate, i know that's heavy." Tugon ko sakanya and he shook his head telling na kaya nyang dalhin ang bag nya.

"Our teacher said na kailangan naming maging independent before we grow up." He excitedly said nang makasakay na kami sa kotse. Can't believe this kid, ako nga hanggang college ako hindi parin ako mature at independent.

"That's good pero if may something na di mo kaya just let ate know okay? so that i can help you." Saad ko at tumango.

After a few minutes is we finally arrived at pinasuot kona si Khai ng mask para walang any air particles ang makapasok sa ilong or sa bibig nya.

I putted his backpack on and hold my hand by his other hand nang makapasok na kami. How cute.

"Hi we're looking for Dr. Gomez?" I said at the nurse na nasa front desk at agad nyang hinanap ito sa computer. "Yes, she's actually available now." Sagot nya at naglakad na kami papunta sa office ng Doctor ni Khai.

We stopped by a room saying na 'Dr. Gomez is in.' at kumatok kami at pumasok at nakita namin si doc na may sinusulat.

"Hello po Doc, nice seeing you again." I smiled. "Yes, nice seeing you and Khai also. Are you ready naba Khai?" Tanong nito kay Khai at tumango lamang si Khai at sinimulan na nyang i examine si Khai

"So kamusta yung Fashion Show?" Tanong nya. Me and Doctor Gomez is quite close and we often talk about my career as a model and actress.

"It was fine lang naman doc, good thing narin natapos din" sago ko and nabigla kami ng may kumatok sa pintuan at nang bumukas ito.

I saw a familiar person wearing a white outfit with a stethoscope around his neck. "Tita, busy paba— ah okay balik ako later." I glanced at him and he caught me smiling at him.

"Hi Coleen." Tipid nitong saad at ngumiti

"Hi Carl" sagot ko at yumuko.

"You two knew each other?" Tanong ni Doc sa'ming dalawa and i can see Luis smiling while he's standing at the door.

"She's was my girlfriend." He said and smirked when he looked at me.
