Today I received great news in the mail, my dream job accepted me! I get to be a make-up artist on the set of Stranger Things. The Duffer Brothers had viewed some of my past work and thought I'd be a good fit (Plus their other make-up artist quit after problems with the cast). For some extra information, I am a special effects make-up artist. So I specialize in the bloody/gory department.

Anyways, I'm so excited I'm practically shitting my pants. I get to meet the cast! Though I haven't watched much Stranger Things because I am always busy with college and other things I still watched the first season. This is definitely a life changer for me.

I fly out today to start setting up. I packed the essentials; Hygiene stuff, clothes, make-up, SFX make-up, etc.

After a couple of hours of flying, I finally landed in Atlanta, Georgia. The specific cast I'm working with is staying in Hawkins. I saw a few names I recognized and a few I didn't. Of course, I recognized the main cast names, but they have added some new people/characters.

I get to my trailer and I put my stuff away. Tomorrow they're gonna start filming some stuff so I know I'm going to have to work fast and efficiently. Especially because I'm joining them late due to their past SFX artist.

*Time Skip to Tomorrow <3*

I wake up extra early to shower, get dressed, and do some other stuff before I start work. I heard that I'm specifically working with one person in particular. Their name was one that I haven't heard of before. Jamie Campbell Bower? I leave my trailer to go to his. I see the label as "001 / Henry / Vecna." Holy shit, I get to work with the big bad for this season. This is going to be dope.

I knock on the door and am greeted by a couple of other artists. I walk up the stairs and see a blonde man sitting in a chair, whom I assumed was Mr. Bower. He looks at me and gives me a bright and big smile. One of the other artist introduced me, "Jamie, this is Y/N! They're filling in for us." He looks at the artist and then back at me, "It's a pleasure to meet you Y/N, I'm Jamie" he gave a warm smile.

After introductions, we all quickly went to work assembling the Venca costume and putting it on. There were about 4 of us in there attempting to put the torso on him. I found it quite amusing once we put it on because at the top he was all "scary" and then he was wearing some normal sweat pants. Once the torso was on he was like a completely different person, he would talk like he was Vecna. A little while later after the glue on his torso was dry we went and put on the bottoms. No, it wasn't a lot of work they were just pants that he had to put on. Get your head out of the gutter, we didn't sit there for hours putting SFX makeup on his booty cheeks.

Once they were done filming the scenes that needed to be filmed he came back to get everything removed. This was an absolute nightmare. My colleagues got called do to other stuff so I got stuck removing the 7 hours of make-up that was done. I mean it was kind of unprofessional that they left the newbie by themself but okay.

Jamie sat in his chair ready to get everything off (The make-up you cheeky bastard). He sat in relief, ready to get the make-up off "Man it's been a long day, I'm overheating in this" he laughed. "Oh jeez, I'm sorry Mr. Bower that must suck having to film for hours walking around in that suit" I nervously said, I've never really spoken to an actor before. I mean even with the 7 hours of putting the Vecna suit on him I didn't say anything, I let the others talk to him. "Love, don't be sorry. It pays well and It's actually quite fun walking around as Vecna," he smiled endearingly. "Also, Y/N, you don't have to call me Mr. Bower," he started "You can just call me Jamie."

I started taking the torso of Vecna off, and every now and then he'd ask me questions about myself to break the silence. I told him that actually had never watched anything he's been in. "Wait really?" Jamie gasped in surprise, "You've never seen Twilight?!" he asked. "Nope" I replied genuinely. "That's insane I've never met someone who hasn't seen Twilight. What about Fantastic Beasts? Or Sweeny Todd, and even Shadow Hunters???" he continued to list some of the big franchises he's been in. I kept replying no.

He was in complete shock, but not in a snarky way. He wasn't surprised I've never seen him in anything, but more confused and worried about how I've never seen these big franchises.

I grew up with no TV or internet. In my teenage years, I learned about gory and scary stuff from my friends and took a liking to it. When I was at home though I never got to really watch anything besides the Disney channel because my parents wanted to hide me from everything. So I explained that all to him. Somehow he actually understood.
