NARRATOR'S POV
You ran as fast as you could through the halls, an axe in your hand right hand and a molotov cocktails in your left hand, blood on you're forehead, and someone's blood on you're clothes. Oh how you wished you had listened to you're older brother and gone with him..... sure he's annoying and an idiot.... but still he knew what was best for you..... sometimes. You heard a loud roar at the end of the hall; you stopped dead in you're tracks and turned around, on the wall you saw a shadow of a weird creature, you immediately dropped you're axe and grabbed the lighter you're brother had given you as a present for you're birthday.
That when you saw it.... tall, skinny, face-less, pale. When it saw you it ran towards you, you immediately lit you're lighter and held it close to the molotov and lit it up..... when it was a good distance away from you but close enough to be hit you through it. It immediately hit that horrendous beast. You picked up you're axe and ran as fast as you're legs could carry you, you hopped the boys and eleven where okay.
You soon a classroom open and immediately went inside, you looked around and soon saw the boys and eleven all the way in the back of the classrom 'GUYS' you yelled in relief as you clossed the door 'OH MY GOD YOU'RE OKAY' you yelled as you walked towards them and immediately hugged them, however the sweet moment didn't last long when you all heard a loud roar.... the same one you had heard moments ago. You got you're axe ready to kill the bastard an protect the kids. The flew across the room and that.... that monster.... or like they called it demogorgon walked in.
'LUCAS HIT IT' Mike yelled looking at his friend, they coloured boy nodded and grabbed his sling shot and put a huge rock in it at flung it at the demogorgon, but as you expected nothing happened 'LUCAS HIT IT' Mike and Dustin yelled and Lucas did the same thing but again nothing. The demogorgon began charging at you, before it could even hit you it was flung across the room. It got back up but was immediately flung across the room again, you all turned around to see Eleven with a bloody nose, she slowly walked over, the demogorgon got back up but was pushed against the the blackboard.
The demogorgon tried to break free, but Eleven yelled and used both of her hand you then heard two screams, Eleven's and the demogorgon's scream or roar. Mike tried to run towards Eleven but you were faster and dropped you're axe and grabbed Mike. The young boy tried to break out of your hold but you didn't budge 'LET ME GO' He yelled but you stood you're ground and didn't move 'ELEVEN' Mike yelled as he looked at the girl as she fought the beast.
She slowly turned around, blood dripping from her nose and tears falling 'Good-bye Mike' was all she said before turning around again and yelled at the top of her lungs only this time it was different.... the blackboard began glowing white and soon both Eleven and the demogorgon we're both sucked into the light and slowly began fading away and turning into ashes. Soon both of them we're gone you finally let Mike go.... the boy immediately began looking around for the girl 'ELEVEN' he yelled, but no response 'ELEVEN' again no response 'El...' he said still no response.
You went over to the boy and hugged him, he began hitting you're chest over and over 'YOU SHOULD'VE LET ME GO..... I COULD OF PROTECTED HER.... I COULD HAVE PROTECTED HER...' He yelled as he continued to hit you 'I... I co-could h-ha-have prote-protected her' He said as he began to slow his punches and began crying in your arms. You held him..... you knew that in the short period of time he had been with Eleven he had fallen for her.
'She did what she needed to do to keep us safe.... to keep you safe.... she saved us Mike that's what matters.....' You said as you held you're tears back.... truth is you treated Eleven like a little sister.... she told you things that she never told Mike or Dustin or Lucas..... that's how much she trusted you. You soon felt someone wrap their arms around you.... you looked around and saw both Lucas and Dustin hug you. You soon broke the hug and looked at the boys 'Come one we can't stay here for long..... ' you said, you're voice was full of pain.
'Yeah' They said as they began to slowly walk one by one out of the classroom. Before you left you looked one last time at the blackboard hopping that some crazy shit would happen and somehow Eleven would be there. Then you thought about how you thought about Will's disappearance, at first you hated it, no one was the same and neither were you..... but now you're actually gratefull for it, if Will had never gone missing you would have never known about what the government had been secretly doing for years, you wouldn't have gotten closer to Mike, Dustin or Lucas and you would have never met Eleven.
You walked out of the school and you soon felt a pair of strong arms wrap around you, it too you a minute to realize who it was.... it was you're older brother Steve 'Oh my god you're okay..... you're okay' he said as he continued to hug you. You hugged back 'I love you Y/n.... sure you're a annoying and sometimes a little rascal..... but you're my brother and I love you' he said shocking you. 'I love you too Steve' you said. You both broke apart and smiled like the two idiot brothers you are (Even if you were smarter than Steve).
AT THE HOSPITAL
You had all gone to the hospital to be checked out and to make sure you were okay. Thank fully the wound on you're head weren't anything serious and you would be okay a relief for both Steve and you. That was until you heard the doors slam open and saw Hopper and Joyce together.... AND WILL IN HOPPER'S ARMS 'HELP WE NEED HELP' Joyce said in a panicked tone, doctors came rushing over and immediately began giving instructions to nurses.
Jonathan immediately tried to go over to Will but nurses stoped him and told him to wait. Of course Jonathan got more anxious and Steve understood him, he would be in the same state of mind as his if it were you. Then Steve hugged you again..... never in his life had he ever felt as scared as he did now.... he was scared that one day it could be you.... one day you would go missing or worse.... die. 'I love you I love you Y/n. Never forget that... understand' he said, you only nodded.
Hours passed as you all waited for the doctors to allow you to see Will, thank fully Joyce and Jonathan were allowed to be with Will so to you that what mattered. As long as Joyce and Jonathan were with him you wouldn't mind waiting a few more minutes.... or hours.... or days to see Will. Suddenly the door opened and Joyce came out, she had the biggest smile on her face 'He's awake' was all she said before the four of you got up and ran towards Will's bed 'Careful' she said. You all hugged him, happy that you're friend was okay.
Immediately the boys began talking about everything Will missed out 'You had a funeral' 'Jennifer cried' 'And Troy peed himself' 'What?' Will asked before he began coughing you all immediately got concerned about his health 'You okay?' Mike asked 'It got me.... the demogorgon' Will said 'Yeah we know. It's okay. He's dead. We made a new friend. She stopped it. She saved us. But she's gone now' Mike said in a sad tone 'Her name is eleven' Dustin said trying to cheer the mood 'Like the number?' Will asked 'But we call her el for short' Lucas said 'She's basically like a wizard' Dustin said 'She super powers' Lucas said 'More like a Yoda' Mike corrected 'She made a van fly' Dustin said 'What?' Will asked in disbelief 'Over us....' Dustin. You just watched enjoying the moment. Maybe things will be the same now, only time can tell....
ONE MONTH LATER
You and the boys we're playing D and D. Everything seemed normal and maybe even better sometime things happen for the better 'Man I never want to go through this shit ever again' you thought, you're thoughts we're soon snapped when you heard Jonathan call Will 'Damn I thought we'd finish the game' you said frustated. 'Well guess we'll have to finish it another time' you said. You all began saying you're farewells, as Dustin, Lucas and Will left you stayed; after all you're brother was dating Nancy.
You want outside to the back yard looking at the beautiful stary night. The smallest things should be appreciated, because one might never know what may happend. 'Soon a new year and hopefully a better year' You whispered to yourself as you walked back in, little did you know how long you were outside in the freezing weather. As you walked in through the living room you're brother called out.
'Y/n where we're you?' Steve asked he wasn't extremely worried but he he was still a little worried. 'You know what never mind.... dinner is ready' he said as he patted you're back. Normally both of you spend christmas with you're parents or sometimes you would spend it just the two of you together since you're parent had work and would have to travel somewhere. But this year it would be different you would be with you're friend, you're friends brother but one thing stayed the same that you're glad didn't change and that was being with you're older brother.
