Sam and Joaquin were in a government building with others to see what President Thaddeus Ross had planned. As Thaddeus went through his speech, something happened. Isaiah Bradley, who was also present, suddenly started shooting at President Ross! The glass blocking the two had shattered as Thaddeus took cover. Chaos broke out, and Sam dashed over to Isaiah and attempted to stop him, but Isaiah gripped his throat in his hand!

Sam managed to get free, and there were three other shooters. Joaquin bravely took one down and knocked him out! Then he hurried to a man and got him out the door, either others who were fleeing. Sam fought off another before they could shoot someone. Secret Service was fighting the other shooters, and Isaiah began to flee. Joaquin felt a strong grip at his back, and he was hauled out of the room and sent walking out among the crowd as if he were being forcefully escorted by a guard. "Man, you better get your hand off of me!" He told the person pushing him out.

They walked out of the building, and the person still pushed him to the side. Staying behind him. "Stop being pushy!" He warned. He was forced to the side and then released. He perked forward his shoulders, straightening his black suit jacket, and he turned around to see Viktoriya. "Girl! Where have you been?!" He asked happily. Then he hugged her. "I been on run.". She answered. "Okay." He said, then let go of her. "It good to see you. Wah-keen." She said. "It's really good to see you. I mean... all good and stuff. In one piece. Still... yourself. I mean. Anyway. Oh my God! Isaiah just lost it in there! We gotta find him!" He told her worriedly.

She took him and turned him around. He could see a little ways away, cops were arresting Isaiah. He sighed sadly. "What are we gonna do?" He whined. "We wait." She told him. "Well, come on. You can't be out in the open. Let's go.". He said and took her hand. Then, he slipped away with her. He took her to his house and inside. "Alright. Well, we can't stay up all night. Waiting. I do have a spare room. It's right here." He told her, and walked to it, then opened the door. "Bathroom is just across from it, and my room is over there." He said and pointed to it. "I'll keep my cellphone up to hear a call from Sam if I do. And I'll let you know what he says. And if anything happens in the night, just call for me. I'll come running." He said, then smiled.

"Thank you." She said. "You're welcome. And make yourself at home. Anything that's mine is yours." He told her. Then he headed to his room. "I hope you have a good rest. You're safe." He told her. She was walking up to the spare room, and then she halted. He was walking, and then he stopped. Not hearing her footsteps. He turned and looked at her. She looked at him. "Safe." She repeated. "Yeah." He responded. "I have... heard dat before. But from you... it different." She told him. He smiled. "I hope it gave you a warm feeling. Like a blanket out of the dryer." He said. She expressed confusion. "You haven't experienced that?! Oh my God. Okay. Well, I'll do that for you soon. I promise." He told her. "I will see, warm blanket. Goodnight Wha-keen." She said. "Goodnight, Tori." He said back. Then, he headed to his room as she went into the spare room.

The next morning, Joaquin woke up, and he heard a bit of noise. He got out of bed and dressed in casual clothes. Then he left his room. He walked to the kitchen and saw Viktoriya eating cereal. She finished a bite. "Good morning, Tori!" He said to her. "Good morning. Why you call me Tori?" She asked. Then ate a spoonful. "It's a nickname. It's... a term of endearment. Um... affection. I like you. Like... I... I really like you. So I'll call you a nickname." He told her. She swallowed. "What I call you, then? To... show I like you?" She asked. "Uh... yeah, I guess you need something a little easier for you to say. Um... well, I'm Falcon. For Captain America, as his sidekick. Can you say that?" He asked and took a bowl from the cupboard. "Fal..con." She struggled a bit. He took the cereal box and poured himself some in the bowl. "What about Keen?" He asked.

"Keen." She repeated. They looked at each other in the eyes. And she expressed she was kind of disturbed. He laughed as he took the milk. "We'll keep working on it.". He told her. Then, he poured some milk. They ate their cereal, then, they went to his office in a building and to a desk with a computer system. "Alright. Let's hack into the cameras and see what happened last night. Maybe we can piece together the truth and try to free Isaiah." He said. She stood behind him and watched. Sam started to call. Joaquin put him on loudspeaker. "Hey, Cap. So, a couple of things happened last night." He told him. "I know one thing did. You got anything on that?" Sam asked. "I'm on it right now. But, say hi." Joaquin said. "Hi?" Sam asked. "Hello, Captain America." Viktoriya said in her Russian accent. Joaquin had a shiver. Then he smiled. "Viktoriya!! How the hell are you with him?! Where have you been?!" Sam asked. "I steal him last night. I saw shooting. Got him out. I hero." She said. "You... yeah, okay." Joaquin said. Sam chuckled. "Oh, I'm gonna love having you back around. But we do need to focus. Isaiah needs our help. Something happened. It was like he was... triggered by words. Like Bucky. And maybe even you, Vik.". Sam said. Viktoriya stood straight and stared at the wall.

"You good?" Joaquin asked and looked at her. "HYDRA is dead. No one is back, to do... bad." She said. "Well, somebody knew his words." Sam said. Joaquin turned back to the footage, and he was checking through. "Is Zemo here?" She asked and looked. "He better not.". Sam said. "If he is, you better lay low." Sam told Viktoriya. "I think I got something." Joaquin told them. She watched with him. Sam listened. "His phone was flashing on him." Joaquin reported. "And... I see it happening to another one of the shooters.". He said. He looked at Viktoriya. "Do you have a cellphone?" He asked her. "No." She answered, right away. "Good girl.". He complimented. Then, he paid attention. "You aren't too slick, Falcon.". Sam said, over the phone. "This is not Zemo.". She said to them. "He held in Wakanda. And he use words. Not... what is it? Te...?" She asked. "Technology?" Joaquin pieced for her. "Da. I... mean... yeah.". She said. "Don't change yourself. So, technology isn't Baron Zemo's thing. Then who's is it?" He asked. They began to discuss a Mexico deal that went down where the buyer didn't show up.

Sam requested them to find out more about the President's top of Secret Service. Joaquin said they're on it. Then he hung up. Viktoriya folded her arms and watched as Joaquin worked. "Technology isn't really your thing either. Is it?" He asked. "No. But I watch and I see. And I have good memory." She responded. "Yeah, you do." He complimented. They researched for a lkttle while, then Sam walked in on a mission to get something. "Hey." He told Viktoriya as he passed by and went to a spot. Then bent down and picked up a new shirt. "What the hell happened to you?" Joaquin asked. He was stabbed in two places on his torso. "Sidewinder tracked me down.". Sam responded. "Mexico man." Viktoriya said. "Yeah. Him." Sam responded. He took off his shirt and had bandages over his wounds. "Shit. You good?" Joaquin asked. "Yeah. Last call." Sam said and handed him his phone. "Trace it." He told him. "Alright." Joaquin said and went to his desk with it. Viktoriya watched them and Sam put on a new shirt. Then was checking out the footage of last night. "Oh by the way, the President's head of secret service, she was trained in the Red Room." Joaquin told. Viktoriya looked at Joaquin. "So was I.". She said. Sam and Joaquin looked at her.
