Chapter One:

I couldn't believe my mom was actually making us do this. I mean I knew she was serious about her new boyfriend, but enough to move us across the world? Yeah, I know I complain a lot about hating St. Louis, but that didn't mean I wanted to move halfway across the world, even if it was to London... but that's beside the point. I was pissed at my mom, and who could blame me? It had been two years, barely, since my dad died and she's already fallen madly in love with some 'bloke' named Paul. It's ridiculous. I had no friends here, and I probably sound so stupid, with my 'American accent'. I begged my mom to let me stay and finish high school with my grandparents, but she thought it was good to have some change. Whatever. I still think this is all stupid. But I couldn't do anything about it now; I was on my way to my first day at the Bristol Predatory School for Girls. I even had to go to an all girl's school, kill me now.

"Hi, my name's Emma! It's so good to meet you!" The tall skinny brown haired girl standing before me was so chipper for 7:00 AM, and her British accent only made it worse. Sure, she seemed nice; it was just weird I guess being here and all.

"Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Cora." I smiled politely. As much as I didn't want to be here I still wanted to make a good first impression.

"American eh?" Emma laughed. "Cute accent, it must be weird for you, thinking everyone else around you has an accent, but it's really you?"

"A little." I agreed giggling. Okay, Emma was pretty cool. I just hoped that everyone else was as nice as her.

"So anyway, I'll be touring you around today. We both get a pass from our classes today, so thanks for that" She winked "I'm supposed to make sure you know the school etc, and if you have any questions just ask me."

We began touring the school, she showed my where all my classes were, talking about the rules and regulations and told me about after school activities as well. It was lunch time before I knew it. Okay, I thought to myself, maybe this isn't so bad...

"Hey Cora, I want to introduce you to some of my friends. She pointed to each girl and recited their names. "Amy, Amelia, Kayla and Dorey."

Dorey immediately jumped up and hugged me, "Wow, and AMERICAN! It's so nice to meet you, I'm DOREY!" She was so up-close to me, and I was able to examine her pretty closely. She was shorter than Emma, but had the same dark hair, and her eyes were stunning. The girl standing a couple feet back from here burst out in a cackle-like laugh. She finally stepped forward.

"Hi, I'm Amy!" She seemed sweet, but a little intimidating.

"Wow, you're American, that's like so cool! I'm Kayla, it's nice to meet... ya'll" She giggled flipping her short blond hair giggling at her attempt of an American accent. I giggled and smiled at her

Amelia, the last girl was sitting off to the side strumming on her guitar and singing quietly. I could only make out a couple words: Well" I'm sorry to be honest, but this love is no good boy, and sorry you're drunk on it, but its making me annoyed."

I looked at her, "Wow, that was so good."

A huge grin spread across her face. "Thanks so much, I've been working on it for a while. I'm Amelia by the way; it's really nice to meet you!"

"Thanks, you too. You guys are so nice; I was a little intimidated honestly, with being like the only American at this school." I laughed nervously, one of the things I hated about myself.

"Well listen, you seem pretty chill." Amy stepped forward. "There's this party tonight, full of hot British boys" She winked at me. "You should come. We're all going to my house before; you can get ready with us." Wow this girl was not intimidated by anything. I was kinda nervous, it being my first day here and all, but I couldn't refuse five new friends.

"I'd love to!" I smiled. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all...
