Veeranshu? Veeranshu muje tumse bhaat karni hai! Bani called out to Veer as she ran inside their bedroom in a hurry. Once she got in there she was taken aback. She looked at the white curtain in the middle of the room and stepped back slightly. Veer came out of the washroom after having freshened up and looked at Bani as she searched his eyes for answers. Veer? Yeh...yeh parda...firse? Veer nodded and sat down on his side of the bed. Ha. Maine lagaaya...abh tum mere saath koi samband nahi rakhna chaahti na? Toh maine yeh firse lagaadiya. I'm sorry ke maine firse tumse koi umeed rakhi. He kicked off his slippers and put his phone on charge as Bani stood there looking at the curtain and at her husband. She took a small step forward hoping that if she moved this would turn into a dream, but it was real. After changing into her night clothes she laid down next to Veer with her back against his. Veer laid there wiping his tears and wishing he had the courage to turn around and rip that curtain off. But he was frozen. He thought that after being away from him for several days her heart would have softened a bit, but no. She was still the same stubborn and heartless Bani that she was before. Bani knew it as well. She knew why he was doing this. It was to get her to realize how she feels about him, to torture her because she had misunderstood him for so long. She whimpered a bit upon the realization that she had in fact hurt her husband so deeply that he didn't even want to be close to her. They slept like that. Hoping the other would let their walls down and profess their love. Veer felt his throat dry up as he tried to hold back his tears, and Bani's heart ached and pillow was drenched with her tears which she was holding back for so long.

The next morning when Veer woke up he turned his head slightly because he felt something around his waist. When he turned his head over his left shoulder he saw that Bani had put her hand under the curtain and it was resting on his back. Veer sighed and laid down so he could face her. He saw her angelic face through the transparent curtain and gently caressed her knuckles. Bani smiled upon feeling his touch and whispered Veeranshu...making him smile as well. Gharwali...itni ziddi kyun ho tum? Abh mujse aur kitna door raho gi? Tum itni pyaari ho ke main tumse zyaade deyr ke liye naaraz bhi nahi rehsakhta. Bani frowned a bit and scooched closer to Veer to feel his touch properly. Veer lifted her hand, pecked her fingers, and softly placed them on his pillow which she started to rub affectionately. The rest of the day they ignored each other but when the other wasn't looking they stole glances of one another. Veer had just cleaned up the mess he made in the bedroom and fixed the bathroom door because he slammed it so hard that some of the screws came loose. Bani saw this as the perfect opportunity to show Veer that she did not have any sort of feelings for Shakura. She pulled out some other sarees she wore in front of Shakura and came up to Veer on the terrace. Veer was brooming the ashes and was just focused on that. Bani stood behind him nervously and cleared her throat a few times. Veeranshu? She whispered after tapping his shoulder.

Veer turned his head slightly and saw her fingertips painted in a pale pink. He sighed and asked Kya hua? Tum theek ho? Aggar lunch ki menu achi nahi laggi toh main kuch baahar se mangaalun? Bani blushed at how caring he was and shook her head. Nuy...voh bhaat nahi thi...yeh...yeh sarees bhi jalaado...maine yeh bhi pehni thi. Veer scrunched his eyebrows and turned around. Once he did, he saw Bani standing there with a white, pink, and navy blue saree in her hands. Bani...lekin tum toh chaahti thi ke main koi bhi saree na jalaoon? He asked as she placed the sarees in his hands. Bani looked down and whispered Muje koi interest nahi hai voh sarees rakhne ki jo uss Shakura ne dekhi...Veer...Bani looked up at Veer and stood a bit closer to him, taking one of his hands in hers. Veer was taken aback by her sudden kindness to him and held his breath. Veer main...maine jhoot bola...main sach mein Shakura se bauhat nafrat karti thi...har pal uske saath...muje bauhat burra lagta tha...kal raath maine jo bhi kahaa...Shakura ke bhaare...I...I'm sorry...sach mein...main bass gusse mein thi...aggar maine tumaara dil dukhaaya...toh I'm sorry...aur kal raath main Jai ke saath kahin pe nahi jaane vaali thi...voh toh maine bass kehdiya tumein gussa dilaane ke liye...maine sach mein usko nahi bulaaya. Main aiyndaa naahi Shakura ka aur naahi Jai ka naam loongi. Before Veer could even ask her anything else she had turned around and made her way downstairs. Veer looked down at the sarees and sighed. They were some of her favourite sarees, yet here she was willing to allow him to burn them. Main bhi kitna paagal hoon? Itna kuch kehdiya...ek bhaar bi nahi socha ke uska anjaam kya hoga...shit....Veer scrunched up his face in disgust while cursing himself for letting his anger get the best of him last night.
