After the war

Hermione POV

Ron I everything about him I hated. Even his name. After the war ended I expected Ron to ask me out and we would live happily forever. I was wrong.

 He had been in touch with Lavender after the war and suddenly seemed to forget about me and the moment we shared in that dark chamber. Lavender and him have been going out all summer now. 

I tried to figure out what had happened. where had I gone wrong to be dumbed like that to the side?

When I brought it up with Ron he was angry he yelled and said the moment never meant anything and he had never loved me.

I tried to move on. So I decided to distract myself with other things first with the rebuilding of Hogwarts, it was a long and hard process than nearly left me cry at the end of each day remembering who had died in theses walls. Harry often came to help rebuild Hogwarts with me and after every night we would talk hang out with Ginny and just forget things for a while.

Harry understood I was trying to avoid Ron and lavender and never mentioned them around me which I was grateful for.

The press followed us everywhere asking about the war, me and Ron, Harry and Ginny, and when the golden trio would round up all the death eater's. I could barley take one breath without them knowing. Harry and I hatted it. 

Ron on the other hand loved it. He would parade around with Lavender on his arm, telling lies about how he was the true brains behind everything and how he had saved Harrys life. 

A few weeks before the end of summer I received my Hogwarts letter.

Dear Ms Granger,We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for your 8th year. You have also been selected to be Head Girl.Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July .
