Mya was really excited for her first date with Touma, she had convinced her friends to go shopping with her which wasn't at all difficult. The three girls had finally decided on a pink pleated skirt, a gray button-down top and some black pumps. The date was planned for later on that day so they decided to go and have a bite to eat at their favorite Soba stall.
Mya had just arrived at the small cafe when she got a text from Touma,
"-Hey, look I'm sorry for making you wait, the whole date thing was a dare from the guys, rly sorry, hope you have a nice day 😅-"
Mya wasn't the type of girl to get upset often, in front of these situations she could just walk away and look back on it as a joke but this time it was different, Touma had seemed so sincere when he asked her, and the pure fact of her imagining him having a good laugh about her with is friends made her boil with rage.
She was so lost in her own thoughts that she hadn't noticed the presence of the well known brunette.
Mya had never really known Jiro that well, they sometimes had class assignments together or sometimes sat at the same lunch table because of their mutual friends, including Touma.
Jiro never really talked much but Mya was surprised when he asked her why she looked so upset, she hesitated but still told him everything, from Touma asking her out to the part where he had left her hanging. By the time she had finished her rambling she noticed that he had slid into the booth next to her and that she was now leaning on his shoulder. Embarrassed, she slid as far away from him as possible, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks.
After a while she slid closer to him again, their knees nearly touching. She looked up to Jiro to see him typing away furiously on his phone, when he put it down he told her that he often did Touma's Algebra homework for him because the guy was useless in math, Mya looked at him confused so he continued, Jiro said that Touma had also failed various exams and had faked his grade as to not make his mothers angry so Jiro had decide to anonymously let that detail slip to Touma's parents and the teacher.
Mya was not surprised at this statement but also confused as to why he had ratted his friend out. What confused her even more was the fact that he offered to invite her for lunch at the cafe because "you don't deserve to be deceived by that Yatsu (guy) and should enjoy the rest of the day with someone who does care".
Jiro called over the waiter and ordered a portion of Udon and Tofu which they both shared a specific liking to.
Mya was ready to go home but Jiro invited her to go bowling at the mall.
After a long day of bowling and wandering around the arcade Jiro even went as far as bringing her back to the dorms. It was already late and a school night so before Mya could close the door to her room Jiro handed her a small piece of paper.
When she was finally showered and dressed for bed she remembered the little note he had handed her, while at home in Tokyo she was used to a maid always cleaning up after her, it took her quite some time to find what she was looking for.
She finally found the little note and decided to get into bed before opening it.
At first she couldn't quite read what it said but then seeing the fast scribbled numbers, she understood.
He had given her his Number.
