~Vanishing of Will Byers
I heard the door shut and someone run upstairs, i opened my door i saw Link "quickly get to your room before dad hears you" i push him and stand by the stairs, waiting.
then what i expect, dad, he threw open his door and looked at me "what are you doing now!" he hissed, slamming his door shut behind him.
"i heard something outside, i thought someone was hurt but it was an animal, sorry" i whispered, i headed to my room
"one more noise out of you and you'll regret it" he went back into his study, i sighed going into my room.
Dad never let us do anything too loud, we had to be super quiet or we'd get hit, i never let Link or Jaz be on the end of that, i always took the fall for them.
i sat on my bed and looked out the window next to me a see Will Byers cycling past, he looked up at me and waved, i waved back at him.
i had babysat him and his friends before, he was a sweet kid, never got into too much trouble and was very creative.
as the Byers sat around the dinner table with Ember Will stopped eating "i drew a new picture!" Will had the biggest smile anyone had ever seen, Ember looked up at him smiling
"what is it?" she waited for him to answer but he just got up and walked down the hallway towards his room
he came running back into the room and placed the drawing on the table next to Ember, it was her, she looked like a badass, she was standing high holding a spire and the kids stood next to her looking ready for war
Ember smiled as her eyes filled with tears as she read 'Ember the Badass Babysitter' she hugged Will and kissed the top of his head "do you like it?" he questioned
"like it? i love it!" she said holding up the drawing "i look so cool" smiling down as the young boy
"you are cool, that's why" he smiled back at her, she pulled him into another tight hug
"thank you Will"
She still had the drawing hung up on her wall by the mirror, she smiled at the memory, laying down on her bed to go to sleep.

Ember woke up to her parents fight, like usual, she sighed and turned her stereo on and listen to Queen play in the background
she dug threw her closet to find an outfit to wear, she pulled out black ripped jean and a band t shirt.
she put on underwear and her jeans, as she finished putting her shirt on her dad stormed into her bedroom "if you don't hurry up and take your siblings to school soon i will beat you" he slammed the door and went back down stairs
Ember didn't have time to think about what happened, she quickly put her rings on and grabbed her shoe's heading down stairs to see both her mother and father missing "where are they?" she asked Link
"he's gone to work and she went to the store to flirt with the cashier" he played with the cereal in the bowl, Ember rolled her eye's at her dad, even if he was gone and couldn't see her.
