"Next stop, Salamanco!" the conductor announced which woke the homesick boy to his senses.

Salamanco..

His dead lips twitched a smile as he heard the name. He stretched his numb muscles and peeked out of the window of the old bus. The sun was setting down. Looking beautiful.

The sweet wind savoured his skin which made him close his eyes in delight. His smile turned to a grin as he read the identifying signboard.

"Thank you for the ride, sir!" he thanked the bus driver as he ran out the bus stop. He  gradually slowed down on his tracks as he read the house plate.

Tapping his foot with anticipation, he waited for the door to open. But no one did. So he rang the bell again. This time he heard the door's lock click. His happy grin turned into a so-done face as the door opened.

Girl was standing there with her right hand reaching out while her eyes glued to the screen of her phone. "But Mike, you're late toda-" her body froze as she finally realised that it wasn't the usual magazine delivery boy.

Her phone fell down and her mouth left a gasp, "Taehyung, Is that you!!?"
He rolled his eyes, "No, it's Barack obama. Just came here to drop by your Guinness world record"

She rolled her eyes before engulfing him into a warm hug. Damn he hadn't felt this sweet warmth for a while. He missed it.

His face wore a soft smile as he hugged her back. "I hate it how much I missed you" she mumbled with a pout but it turned into a smile as she felt his chest vibrate from the light husky laugh.

Then he jerked her away and looked at her with excited grin, "Where is Grandma?" she scowled, "She went to the factory to check on her harvest"

He shrugged and marched to the living room. He was about to rest on the couch when he heard her growl, "My phone is fucking broken! You will be paying for the new one!"

"Jennie's saying and I'd do that" he scoffed, "in her dreams"
His resting body quickly stood up right as he heard Jennie shouting, "Grandma! You're back!"

Grandma wouldn't mind a surprise.

He quickly ran to the pantry with a smirk and while doing so he made a huge commotion.

"What was that?" Grandma asked as she hanged her cardigan over the hanger. Jennie understood he was trying to hide so she acted along. "Omo! The monkey returned again. I tried to shoo it away but it came back again" she suddenly blurted.

"You'll always stay the scaredy cat. Let me check" she headed towards the pantry with a broom. Meanwhile Taehyung didn't know about it.

-----

"Does it hurt a lot, dear brother?" Jennie asked while biting her lips to stop her bursting laughter. Taehyung gave her a glare as his hand held the ice pack on his cheek, "I got a smack on my face from a fucking broom! Obviously it hurts a lot"

"I brought the antiseptic" Grandma rushed inside the room. She sat beside him and applied the antiseptic carefully.

Grandma opened her mouth to talk but stopped as she noticed Jennie's presence. "Go and wash the dishes downstairs, Jennie" she ordered but Jennie frowned.

"I'll do it tomorrow-" she closed her mouth as her grandma reminded her why she had to accept the orders. 'My LA tickets' she thought dreamily before stomping her feet put the room.

Grandma sneakily closed the door and sat back on the bed. She sighed at Taehyung's confused face. "I saw Juhee on my way back home" she said.

Taehyung's face lit up in a grin and he sat up straight, "Did you call her home to meet me? Is she comi-"

"She had an engagement ring on her hand" Grandma finally said and Taehyung's heart dropped. His smile slowly faded and he settled his back over the headrest.

"Did she look happy?" he said in a breaking voice. "She did. She was fondly showing the ring to some girl who looked like someone from the city" grandma said while twisting the cap of the antiseptic.

"Does she still live alone?" he asked in a saddened voice and sighed as he saw his grandma nod. "Can I stay alone for a bit?" he asked and Grandma nodded, "Be downstairs for dinner"
As the door closed, his eyes left the unshed tears.

She is engaged. To someone else.

"You are so silly, Taehyung. Did you believe that she would still love you when you hadn't even contacted her for 18 months" he bitterly chuckled as he gazed his bruised face from the mirror.

He heard some clattering of the plates and just at time his stomach growled. He chuckled and wiped his tears, "She found someone. You have to move on as well, Taehyung"

Taehyung smiled as he saw Jennie serving a special plate, "I never really expected that I would get the honor of being served in the special dinner set. And that too from her"

"Well there you go, buddy" she stomped the last serve aggressively and gave him a tight smile, "Dream come true"
Taehyung nodded and started eating as everyone sat to eat. Oh the home-made food. It reminded him of his mother.

"So.. How is it?" Jennie asked eagerly. Taehyung narrowed his eyes, "Did you make it?"
"Yeah" she giggled nervously and Taehyung dropped the spoon as if he is defeated.

Then shook his head in disappointment, "You really find ways turn my favourite things to something I hate"

"Woah, is it that bad?" she asked her grandma. Grandma smiled softly, "No sweetie, it's delicious" and then hits Taehyung's shoulder, "Stop with that leg pulling. You returned after almost 2 years and all you do is tease your sister"
"Well, don't you love it- Oww!" he winced as Jennie twisted his poking finger.

Taehyung washed the plates and started walking upstairs, "I'll go to sleep now"
He takes two ice packs with him and lies down on his bed.

'You have to talk to her' his mind says and he sighs as he agrees.

I want to meet her. I guess I will.
