"The past is a ghost, the future a dream, and all we ever have is now."-Bill Cosby

This quote kept pestering my brain as I listened to every song I have by The Killers on my iPod.  I wasn't really a fan of science class, and I have noted that the teacher underestimates me too much.  I like it better when he finds me not concentrating, he asks a question, and I answer it right.  It makes me feel powerful.  Then, his face is priceless.  It's like I spit on him or something.  It's ah-may-zing.  Of course, he asks me questions that's not in the curriculum, which is alright with me.

"Ms. Angelo, once again, no listening to music in class."

"Why Mr. Thomas, I thought you'll never notice.  Daily question por fay-vor?"  He heaved a quite heavy sigh and looked at me.

"What nation became the third to launch a Mars probe, when Planet-B took off in 1998?"

"Funny, learning about reproduction and you gimme a space question.  The answer is Japan."  The last bell rang and students stood up to race to their lockers and get home to a well deserved weekend.  I stood up and nodded at Mr. Thomas, "Well, I'll be off now."

"Madison, can I have a word with you?"  I turned around and faced him.  I felt bad for treating him in such an arrogant way, he was pretty good looking.  "When are your parents coming to talk to me?"

"Agh, here we go again.  Mr. Thomas, they're too busy with their jobs and what not.  I told you, call their number.  They always pick up.  Busy, but they will probably talk to you for, like, max 10 minutes."

"Madison, I want to talk to them in person if you don't mind."

"Well," I hesitated, "I'll ask if they can come.  If they can, I'll infrom you on the date.  If they can't, well, sorry."

"Alright.  Have a good weekend Ms. Angelo."

"Feeling's mutual Mr. Thomas," I said as I headed out the classroom door.  I hurried to my locker and dumped most of my books in my locker, I had done all the homeworks during class.  My boyfriend, Nate, walked up to me.

"Please tell me, lady Einstein,  how you managed to answer that question?" he asked as he put his arms around my waist.  I faked a smile and kissed him on the cheek.

"T.V. my dear old Nate, T.V."

We walked out of school, being stared by all the students.  He was, well, every girl's dream.  I, on the other hand, was the geeky smart ass girl.  Of course, I just needed him for a cover-up, nothing more.  He slipped his hand onto mine as we reached the front doors.  "Mind if I enter your house?" he whispered into my ear.

"Of course," I responded.

We reached my house in 34 minutes exact after leaving our school.  As I opened the door, his hands kept touching my waist and he kissed my neck.  "Can you wait till we get inside?" I giggled as I opened my front door.  I walked inside and threw my stuff on the floor, he did the same.  He shut the front door and threw me onto the couch.  "Really Nate?  Must we do this now?"

"Yeah." he said as he got on top of me and started making out with me.  He moved his hands all over my body.  I knew he wanted sex, but I wasn't going to give it to him.  Yet.

I sat up while still making out with him and forced him to be on bottom.  I took the lead, making myself the higher person.  I suddenly felt something in his pants get bigger, and I knew he was going to try to do it today.  He started to lift my shirt up and I stopped kissing him.

"Babe, what's wrong?" he asked as I sat on his legs.

"I just don't feel like it's the right moment."   He kissed me on the cheek.

"It's alright, I'm not gonna force you.  If you want me to leav then I wi---" I interrupted him with a kiss.

"I never said we can stop making out," I grinned.

After an hour of us smooching together, he gave me my last kiss.  "I have to go Maddie."

"Really?" I faked with a sadness.

"Yeah," he said getting up.  He went over to the door and grabbed his bookbag.  I followed him and gave him another kiss which led to a makeout.  "Okay, I seriously have to go," he said giving me one last kiss on the forehead.  "I'll see you on Monday."

"Text me!" I yelled as he went down the front steps.

"Will do sweetie," he said as he turned the corner.

I closed the door and went up to my attic.  The attic was pretty clean but very dark.  The only light came from a small circular window, I always had to bring a flashlight.  I tore away at a loose floorboard and brought the bags that were hidden underneath to the surface.  I unzipped it and put the skeletons onto the hardwood floor.  I grabbed the Bible that was kept up there, though I was an athiest, and read a prayer for both bodies.  Or what remained of the bodies.  I put the skeletons back in the bag and underneath floorboards once again.  I put the loose floorboard in place and made sure it was secure.  I took my flashlight and started walking downstairs.  Before I left though, I whispered, "Rest in peace Mom and Dad."
