Abir Misses Mishti.

Mishti was sitting in the garden. Just then, Vishambhar came there with coffee. He gave one cup to Mishti and sits near her.

Mishti (taking the cup)- thanks.

After few minutes of silence, Vishambhar spoke up.

Vishambhar- Mishti beta.

Mishti- yes dad.

Vishambhar- maine aur teri maa ne ek fainsla kiya hai.

Mishti- what??

Vishambhar- hum nana nani ban-na chahte hain.

Mishti- very good. Bano bano bano.

Vishambhar- usske liye tujhe shadi karni padegi.

Mishti (over dramatically)- Hhhhhh!!!!! (Like old film heroines) Na dharmi baable (father). Apni iss phoolon jaisi beti ko 4 din aur iss ghar mein khel lene do. (As her normal self) Please.

Vishambhar- Mishti, aaj nahi toh kal, tu kissi na kissi ghar ki bahu toh banegi hi na.

Listening to Vishambhar Mishti........

Mishti was wearing 3 piece suit. Mehul, Meenakshi and Kunal were standing in front of her in attention position. She switches off the TV.

Mishti- aaj se iss ghar mein TV nahi chalega. (To Kunal) Kunal, tum din mein 10 ghante padhaai karoge. Usske baad ek ghanta poori mauj se tv dekhoge....

Abir came there putting his hands in his pockets and stood besides Mishti.

Mishti (cont.)- ...... par sirf news. Taan ke tumhari General knowledge mein badhawa ho.

Abir proudly smiles.

Mishti (to Meenakshi)- maa, aap ghar ka rasoi ka kaam karne ke baad free.....

Meenakshi became happy.

Meenakshi- theek hai beta.

Mishti- usske baad ek ghanta meditation. Roz.

Meenakshi's smile disappeared and Abir became even more proud.

Mishti (to Mehul)- papa, aapki diet badhaai jayegi. Aur aapke din ke 3,000 steps bhi cancel.

Mehul became happy. Abir crossed his arms to his chest.

Mishti- aap din mein 10,000 steps chaloge.

Mehul smile disappeared.

Mishti- Yeh (Abir) in rules ko le kar dheel de sakte hain, par mai inn rules ko le ke bahut sakht hoon. KOI LIHAAZ NAHI.

Saying this, even Mishti, like Abir, crossed her arms to her chest.

Kunal shook Mehul.

Kunal- Taayi Taya!!!

Mehul and Meenakshi came out of their imagination.

Kunal- yeh kya dekh rahe ho?? Agar baatein dhang ki nahi karni toh kam se kam sapne toh dhang ke dekh lo.

Mehul- arrey nahi. Mai toh yeh keh raha tha ke shadi ke baad toh aurtein apne pati ke kehne pe chalti hain.

Meenakshi- Achha!! Mai toh tumhare kehne pe chali nahi.

Mehul- Sss. Meenu, tumhe har baar meri baat kyun kaatni hoti hai??

Kunal- chalo jo marzi hai taya ji. Mai toh yeh kehta hoon ke Mishti se achhi ladki iss ghar ko aur bhai ko mil nahi sakti. Aur waise bhi Taya ji, aapko chhole puriyan aur maal puye kissi ne nahi dene.

Mehul- hmm. Chhole puriyon ke hisab se dekhein toh wakei hi ladki, itni buri nahi hai.

Meenakshi- ladki toh nahi buri. Tumhari niyat buri hai.

Mehul and Meenakshi glare each other.

Mehul- mai yeh keh raha tha ke apne Jailer se baat kaun karega??

Meenakshi- thodi thodi sab kar lete hain.

Kunal- hmm.

Kunal (whispers)- aa gaye aa gaye. Tayi ji, shuru ho jaao.

Meenakshi- ladki ne toh na raunak laga ke rakhi thi ghar pe.

Abir was trying not to react.

Mehul- bilkul sahi baat hai. Khaana bhi bahut achha bataati thi bechari. Ab toh phir tumhare haath ka hi khana padega humein.

Meenakshi (annoyed)- kyun?? Mai achha nahi banaati?? Mehul, tumse kitni baar kaha hai, par tumse ladaai chhede bina raha nahi jata.

Mehul (in low voice)- tumne khud hi toh kaha tha uss ki tareef karne ko.

Kunal (in low voice)- Taya ji, concentrate. (Aloud) Dekh lo tayi ji haina. Mishti ko sab hi miss kar rahe hain. Haina bhai!!

Abir- miss karne wali kya baat hai?? Jaana hi tha ussne apne ghar.

Meenakshi- aur nahi toh kya. Ussne bhi jana ji tha, ussne kauna yahin baithe rehna tha. Par waise beta agar hum ussey yahaan pakka hi rakh lein phir??

Mehul- rakh lo, beshak rakh lo. Par iss baar kiraya zaroor leinge hum uss se.

Meenakshi- Abir!! Beta, agar tujhe pasand hai Mishti toh baat karein phir??

Abir- maa, aur hi baatein matt karo. Aapko pata hai mujhe abhi shadi nahi karni.

Meenakshi- tu maan chahe na maan. Jab se woh gayi hai na, raunak tere chehre pe bhi nahi hai.

Abir halted his steps. Yes. Meenakshi was right. He was missing her. Missing her very much, but, he, without reacting leaves from there.

Abir was walking on road and saw Mishti standing in front of him, leaning to the wall and smiling. He lowers his eyes and then again looked towards her, but she was nowhere to be found. He looked around, but didn't find her. He got to know that it was just an imagination. He smiles and leaves.

In library, he was checking books, when at the distant corner, he again saw her, but soon realised that it was again an another imagination. Just then, a voice came....

Gullu- O Sundar!! Jab Rani roz tere saath aati thi, tumne tab kyun nahi propose kiya?? Ab yahaan muh latka ke khade ho.

Abir takes a deep breath and goes towards Gullu. Gullu again hits the table with his fist. Just then, Abir came there. Gullu saw Abir and realised that he again spoke loudly.

Gullu- maaf karna library.

Abir (going near Gullu)- aage padhna. Mili Rani Sundar ko ya nahi??

Gullu (happily)- kya!! Mujhe lagta hai tumhara bhi interest ban gaya. Baith jaao.

Abir sits in front of him.

Gullu (reads)- Sundar bus mein chadh gaya aur Rani ke gaaon wale adde par utar gaya. Mann hi mann mein yeh baat sochta hai ke aaj woh apne dil ki baat Rani se keh dega. Par. Jab woh usske ghar jata hai, dekhta hai ke Rani ki shadi ho rahi thi. Sundar ke paas kuch nahi raha. Agar kahin Sundar ne sahi samey par Rani ko apne dil ki baat kahin hoti toh aaj Rani Sundar ki aur Sundar Rani ka hota.

Gullu's last lines were echoing in Abir's ears.
