I open my eyes to be blinded by the sun, how long was I unconscious? Is it the next day? The next week? I have no idea.
I sit up, I'm in the person's bed. The blankets seem even more soft now. I'm bandaged up, not a trace of blood on me anymore. I look at the door and there the person is, they're holding their sword, they look scared.
Why are they scared? I won't hurt them. They hurt me much more than I'd ever hurt them. They come closer cautiously, it's honestly funny how slowly they're moving. Their left foot always in front of their right.
I just sit there while they make a huge fuss about getting close to me. After what seems to be hours, they're finally beside me. They poke my chest with their sword, they put almost no pressure, is this supposed to be threatening?
I try to hold back a distorted laugh. They back away instantly. Is my laugh scary? I didn't mean to scare them.
They come back slowly, even slower than before. They put their hand out and touch me, I'm not sure what they're doing but I just let them. They sit beside me, they seem to be mesmerized by how I'm not reacting.
