Bee was an unusual name for a person, but, then again, Bee was an unusual person. She liked to think that most people considered her a good person. She did her best to be the kindest she could be, and it didn't hurt that she saved her whole city on the side.

Okay not everyone knew about that part, but she did.

Why would a random girl in college need to protect a city? Probably when that random girl was a vigilante who went against a villain that seemed to want nothing more than to destroy the city. Bee didn't really think that was his ultimate goal, somehow in all his chaos she didn't think he really was all that evil.

She didn't know what made her think he wasn't as bad as everyone claimed he was, but something about him and his intentions, whatever they may be, didn't sit right with her. She felt that he really was stronger than her, so if he wanted to kill her, she was pretty sure he would have by now.

Her thoughts were halted as she crashed into something— or rather— someone. She lost her footing and ended up with a sore butt and spilled papers. Her sky blue eyes flitted up to see who was the poor victim of her daydreaming and blinked when she realized who it was.

Mason Davis.

He was probably one of, if not the most popular guy in school. Popularity is hard to have at a college, but when you look as conventionally attractive as Mason Davis, it's hard not to be. She didn't understand what exactly it was about him that his peers adores so much— then again— she hadn't ever really met him before.

"Sorry, that was my bad. I was lost in thought," he said, a kind smile on his face as he bent down on one knee to help her gather her papers. She smiled a little and began organizing the ones he handed her until they were all safely in her bag and zipped up.

He held out and hand and he pulled her up with a little more strength then she might have given him credit for.

"Don't worry about it, I was lost in fault too so I think I might be a little to blame too."

He smiled a little wider now shrugged as he tugged on his collar. "I'm-"

"Mason Davis? I know."

"Oh you do now?" He said, a small tease in his voice. She returned his words with a glare but it softened when he laughed. It was a really pretty laugh.

"Yeah. Did you miss it? You're like- the most popular guy in school."

He shook his head, his wavy black hair swaying as he did so, but there was a cocky smile on his face that told her he knew exactly what she was talking about it.

"Yeah I guess people've heard of me." His shrug made him look like he was trying to be humble. She appreciated the effort, but she still couldn't help but note he still had a bit of a smug look on his face.

So she rolled her eyes and began to walk away.

"Wait?"

She stopped, sighing, she turned her head so she saw him from the corner of her eye. "Yes?"

"Didn't catch your name."

"Why do you care?"

"Curious."

"Mmm," she hummed, and turned back around, walking away again. Instead of stopping her, he caught up with her with a little jog. She raised an eyebrow.

"Please?"

"Ooh wait till all the girls hear that Mason Davis needs to know my name."

"Ha-hah-" he said, glaring at her, but it was in jest,"Come on, I told you mine."

"Pretty sure I already knew it?"

"Katherine? Sharon-"

"Really? Sharon?"

"Amaris, Krystal, Melanie-"

"Bee." She finally said and he blinked and met her eyes.

"Come on. You really aren't going to tell me your name?"

"I just did. My name is Bee."

"Really? Is that short for anything?"

She laughed and little and shook her head, "nope, just Bee."

He looked thoughtful for a moment, as if deciding if it was a cool name or just a plain stupid one. He looked at her again, and a small smile graced his face. A genuine, pearly white smile and- okay- it was really cute.

"Cute name for a cute girl."

"Ooh how many girls swoon over that one?"

"A good 1 in 10."

"For real?"

"Nope. Never used it. Been waiting for an opportunity though. And with a name like Bee, well, it was just meant to-"

"Mason Davis if you say-"

"Bee."

She gave him a disappointed look, but the smile on her face gave away how amusing this boy was, maybe she was starting to see what made him so...popular. "See you around, hot stuff."

"See you around, Bumble Bee."
