Elevator ride

A/N : I know you know by the title what is going to happen, but I'll do my best to change it up a little.

Timeline: 10 days after their first meeting (they talked in those 10 days and Nico asked Levi on a date)
Nico's POV :

I check my patient's monitor one more time before leaving and heading to the elevator. I can finally go home after this long day.

I step inside the empty elevator and the doors start to close, but a hand slips in making the doors reopen.

When I notice who the hand belongs to, I smile to myself. He sees me, his eyes going wide and his cheeks turning pink. He stands beside me, and waits as the doors start closing.

-You did ortho today, right ? I say, immediately regretting talking to him in such an awkward way.

He nods, not responding with words. I'm a bit disappointed, so I turn my whole body to face him. He backs away a little, and I step forward, as we start to get very close.

I look down at his lips while he stares at my eyes. He doesn't seem reluctant, so I grab his blouse. Then there's a small pause and I pull him towards me so our lips land on one another.

He immediately kisses me back and we kiss passionately for about 10 seconds before the elevator door opens and a bald man gets in. We back away from eachother almost instantly.

Levi stands behind me, leaning on the wall and breathing heavily. I try to breathe calmly and I quickly look back at Levi who adjusts his glasses and stands up straight.

'How cute' I think while smirking.

At the next stop, the man leaves the elevator, and Levi and I are left alone (again).

As the doors close I turn to face Levi and start apologizing.

-I'm sorry, that was abrupt, I know. And I know you-

-It was perfect, he interrupts me.

I quickly relax and smile at him.

A/N : I will not write the part where Levi says it's his first time, because I don't want to. Instead, I'm going to stop it there (watching the part that comes after hurt me, so I don't want to go through it again).

The elevator door opens again, and Levi walks out slowly, and I notice him almost tripping, but he tries to stay steady. He walks out of my sight pretty fast, and I'm guessing he's doing it on purpose.

The doors close again, and I wait silently, alone, thinking about all that happened. Now I need to get that date, I really do.

Levi's POV :

I start searching for Taryn (my best friend) and I find her close to a radiology department. She sees me and smiles at me. I almost run to her to tell her what just happened.

-Taryn, you know the hot guy I told you about ?

She thinks for a moment.

-Dr. Link ?

I shake my head. How did she know...?

-No, the other one.

-Oh, you mean the fellow, she says wiggling her eyebrows.

I roll my eyes and continue.

-Well... we just kissed. In an elevator. For like 10 seconds. Do you think he likes me ?

Her eyes go wide at all the little sentences I let out.

-Wow Levi, I'm impressed, she laughs. Keep doing what you're doing cuz it's making you smile a lot.

As she says that, I try not to smile too much, because it's gonna break my jaw. (Don't tell my bosses I said that, because they will call me stupid and incompetent.)

-I think that's a good opportunity to go grab a drink. Or two. Or three.

-No, you just want a drink to get over the fact that you saw Meredith Grey kissing a guy, I laugh at her.

She puts a finger in front of my mouth.

-Shhhhh, let me dream.

I laugh at her.

-Don't worry, alcohol helps with that.

She frowns at me.

-Okay just go finish your post ops and meet me at Jo's bar after, I really need those drinks, she orders.

I nod in a military way (if that makes sense) and I leave to check on my patients.

Later that day (night)
Levi's POV :

Me and Taryn sit down at the counter and order a round of shots. As we receive them and start drinking them, we laugh a lot.

After a few rounds (she's mostly the drunk one since Levi barely drank anything), I notice Nico sitting at a table with Deluca and Link. I see Taryn staring at a girl laughing and I push her to go for it. She laughs nervously and starts walking weirdly towards her, clearly being super drunk.

As she leaves, Nico gets up and starts walking towards me. I turn my head in the opposite direction so maybe he will forget my existence. To my not surprise, he sits on my right and waits for me to turn to look at him.

As soon as I do, I do everything in my power to keep a straight face, but the thought of us kissing just a few hours ago is very distracting.

-Can I get you a drink ? He asks as I almost accept, but I remember I have to get Taryn back home.

Before I respond, I check if Taryn is still on her two feet and she seems to be. She's laughing with the girl. I turn back to Nico who seems confused by how long it's taking me to respond.

-I need to get my friend back home, and to do that, I should really not be drunk, but thanks for the offer.

He looks at Taryn and back at me.

-Is she... is she just a friend, or...?

I let out a laugh that I realize may sound a bit rude.

-Taryn ? God no, she's a friend, that's all. I love her, but not like that, I say putting my hand dramatically in front of me.

That does not happen often that people confuse her and I for more than friends.

He smiles, almost mischievously.

-But we can just sit if you want, or not...

I probably sound very desperate. I hope I don't though.

He nods while still having that funny smile of his, and at first we just sit there in silence, but then we start talking and talking.

The night goes by, but I start noticing Taryn making a fool of herself, dancing on the top of a table. I immediately stand up and rush to get her off of that table.

-Taryn !! I whisper-shout. Get off of that poor table.

She laughs as I help her down. I grab her arm, and turn quickly to wave at Nico. He looks a bit in shock that I am just leaving like that, mid conversation, but Taryn is really in need of a coffee and sleep.

We walk out, as I am disappointed I had to interrupt my moment with Nico. I'm pretty sure we would have kissed if I stayed a bit longer.

A/N : Yeah, that's all for this one, I know I make them a bit long, but I can try to make them shorter, or not. This one was mainly around the scene in the show, like the elevator thingy, but the rest I pretty much improvised. I think.
