It started out with a strip of paper
And then I folded it
And folded it
Until it became a star
It was a side activity
Then it became a hobby
When I was sad, lonely
Or just plain bored
Someone once told me
That if you made a thousand paper stars
Then your wish will come true
So I put them in a jar
I lost count after five hundred
But I guess it doesn't matter
Because I think my wish came true
I'm not as lonely anymore
