"What did you do?" she asked.
"I accidentally bit my lip and now it really hurts." she whimpered.
Her mom inspected her lip. "Of course it hurts. It's bleeding you idiot." she said. She sighed.
"Go home and clean your lip up, and I guess we can continue this on a later day. Is that okay with you Josh?" she asked.
Josh nodded, nonchalantly covering his mouth with his hands and making it look like he was leaning on his hand.
"Yep." he agreed.
They left the store, and when her mom walked ahead to get in the car, Lauren pumped her fists in the air to Josh. He smiled.
When they got to the house, Lauren picked up her phone.
"You still here?" she asked.
"Yup!" Nicole said. "Oh and P.S, great acting skills by the way. I taught you well."
Lauren laughed. "Yes you did. Anyway, see you when you get here!" she said
They said bye and hug up. Lauren sucked the dry blood off her lip and sat on the couch, tangling her legs with Josh's legs.
"So are you going to pick a dress and get all purdddy?" Josh asked, faking a Southern accent, just to make me laugh.
"Sure doofus." I said. He laughed.
"Just think, you have to live with him for the REST OF YOUR LIFE." Ian said, coming into the room and grabbing his shirt.
"I have lived with Matt my whole life, I think I'll be fine." Lauren assured him. Josh smiled.
Eventually Josh left to go to practice, and Lauren promised she would send him a picture of her in the dress if she finally picked a dress.
Nicole showed up about five minutes after they left. They hugged, and went to the car. They chatted the whole time. After all, they hadn't seen each other in like, three years.
First they went to Starbucks, as usual when Nicole comes to visit with Lauren, and then they went to a bunch of stores. Nicole picked one with a similar layout to the store her mom had dragged her into.
"Matt wants to propose." she said nonchalentely, looking at the beautiful dresses infront of her.
"WHAT?!?! How do you know?" Lauren asked.
"He took me out shopping a few days after we started dating again, dragged me into a ring store, asked which one I liked, then said, and I quote, If I proposed it would be after Lauren and Josh's wedding, for then we don't steal the spotlight." she said, doing her guy impression.
Lauren laughed and squealed. "Awwww, you guys are so good together!" she said.
Nicole smiled. "So are you and Josh. You have the cutest relationship, because you both are like children inside." she said.
Lauren smiled. "We should pick your dress too!" she said.
"Yeah! That'd be fun!" she said.
They paused, then burst out laughing at how childish they sounded. They grabbed any dress they thought they liked, then went into the huge change-rooms. Nicole turned on her iPod, and they played music as they changed, then showed each other the dresses.
Eventually, after like 15 dresses, Nicole picked the one. She was up at the cash putting the dress on lay away.
"You pick one yet?" she called to Lauren.
"Yes... no... maybe. I can't picked between two!" Lauren called back.
"Lemme see." Nicole said, pushing her way into the change-rooms. (A/N : Lauren had all her clothes on perverts)
Nicole smiled at Lauren when she saw the two dresses. "I never thought you would pick this kind of dress." Nicole said, Lauren smiled. "I'm proud of you kid."
"Well... Josh said I should look purdy." I said, mocking him.
She smiled. "I think this one would be better on you." she smiled, pointing to on of the dresses.
Lauren smiled. "That's the one I liked the most, it's just I kinda liked the other one too. But you're right." Lauren said.
She put on the dress quickly to model it for Nicole, at her request, and Nicole took a picture on Lauren's phone.
She checked the time. "Hey, the guys are still in practice, wanna go see what they're doing?" Nicole asked.
Lauren nodded, after they put her dress on lay-away, they drove to the Harbour Dance Centre, where the guys were.
Lauren's P.O.V.
We went into the room the boys were in, and saw they must've just been finishing up. Nicole went over and kissed Matt.
They were all sweaty, but it kinda looked good. The setting sun was pouring in through the giant windows.
Josh was relaxing on a bench, sweaty. He looked amazing in his orange-y red tank top and shorts. His various cuts and bruises from the car crash were finally disappearing. Well, a lot faster than me. I still had the bandage on my arm.
Her arms and legs were still kinda scrawny, but I liked that about him. He still had muscles, distracting as always.
His hair looked like it was turning gold.
"You pick a dress?" he panted, obviously tired.
"Yeah." I said, showing him the picture I had on my phone.
"Wow. You look beautiful." he said. I smiled.
"Thanks." I said, then I yawned.
He chuckled. "Tired?" he asked. I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder.
"It's been a long day." I sighed.
He chuckled and picked me up bridal style. "I'll bring you home." he said. I smiled, and cuddled into him.
We all went in the car, Nicole and Matt in one, everyone else in the van. I have now dubbed the van the Tank, because this thing has been through everything. For god sakes we've had it since before I moved in.
Josh and I nestled in the back seat, and at one point Josh sang a quiet lullaby only I could hear because I was so close, and I drifted off to sleep.
Sorry I updated so late. So many people updated on Twitter it made my computer crash and I lost the whole chapter. Anyway, I hope you liked it. COMMENT! And goodnight :)
