Thalia sat down at the table, typing away on her phone. Genesis was busy sitting in the bean bag chair, snoring away. Alexander was searching through the fridge like usual. Then, Rosie busted into the room with a grin on her face.
"Guess who got another job!" Rosie cheered as she looked at her co-workers.
Thalia let out a groan. "Why is it always our floor...?"
"Because we are the best of the best!" Rosie exclaimed as she jumped onto the table.
"Maybe you shouldn't do that... You might break it one day." Alexander spoke as he stood up and closed the fridge, a jar of pickles in his hands.
Thalia sighed and stood up from her seat, grabbing her car keys. "C'mon Rose... let's get this over with."
Rosie cheered as she raced out of the room and into the elevator.
Alexander stared at the door for a moment. "...Did she snort some cocaine or something...?"

Thalia was busy driving, making sure she turned on the right roads, all that good stuff, while Rosie was looking out the window. A song was playing on the radio, one that would have most likely gotten me sued if this was an actual tv show.
"Oh, I can't wait to help them!" Rosie bounced in her seat with sheer excitement.
"Y'know, we could always just cheat and tickle them." Thalia blurted out, which caused Rosie to let out an offended gasp.
"But then we wouldn't really be doing our jobs." Rosie huffed as she leaned back into her seat.
Thalia pulled up to a house and killed the engine. Rosie jumped out of the car and ran up to the door, knocking in a rather fast manner. Thalia trudged behind her, before a voice called out saying that the door was unlocked. The door opened and the two girls cautiously walked inside.
"We're the Laughing Friends and uh... we got a call from here saying someone needed a laugh... or something..." Thalia spoke out, rolling her eyes in the process. "They really should have called the other place..."
Rosie elbowed her in the side, before they heard footsteps approaching them.
The sight in front of them was rather... interesting... Well, that would be an understatement. It was... a fish with a top hat in a fishbowl... that had arms and legs.
"Oh, thank goodness you guys are here, I didn't know what I was going to do..." The fish said with a sigh of relief. "Here, sit down."
Thalia and Rosie exchanged a look before they sat down on the couch.
"So, uh... what seems to be the problem, man?" Thalia leaned back into the couch, already getting comfortable.
"Well..." The fish started, "it started when my wife left me..." The fish teared up a bit, was that even possible...?
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that, sir." Rosie frowned a bit in sympathy.
"And then that cheating bitch took my favorite top hat!" With that, the fish started to sob.
Rosie and Thalia looked at each other again, before Rosie suddenly got an idea.
"Why don't we go to your ex-wife's house, and get the top hat back?"
Thalia placed her head in her hands, "I fucking hate this..."
The two girls... and fish guy... stood in front the front door of a house. Thalia raised her hand and knocked on the door a couple times. The door slowly opened, revealing a spider. What the hell.
"Oh, hello! Are you two here to deliver my cookies?" The spider questioned, her voice soft and gentle.
Rosie and Thalia looked at each other, "yeah... no. We're the Laughing Friends and uh... we're here to get your ex-husband's top hat back." Thalia looked back at the spider.
The spider's smile instantly disappeared when she saw the fish guy. "Hello, Binkus..."
"Hello, Martha..."
"Uh. Can we come in and just... get the top hat... please...?" Rosie asked, a hopeful look on her face.
"Oh yes, yes. Of course you can. You can sit down in the kitchen while I fetch it." Martha then skedaddled off deeper into the house.
Binkus, Thalia, and Rosie walked inside and made their way into the kitchen, sitting down at the table.
"Those cookies look really good." Thalia whispered, looking at the cookies in middle of the table.
Rosie looked at the two people on both sides of her, before she reached out towards the cookies. She grabbed one and went to eat it, before a hand snatched it away from her.
"That's my cookie, you blond bimbo." A chud looking guy spat out, shoving the cookie into his mouth.
"Oh, um. I'm sorry, sir." Rosie retracted her arm immediately, holding her hands close to her chest.
Martha came back into the kitchen, holding Binkus' top hat, "here Binkus, here's your hat."
Binkus quickly grabbed his hat and put it on the fish head... On top of the first top hat.
"Matthew, let the girl have some cookies, poor girl probably hasn't had much to eat." Martha scuttled over and handed Rosie a cookie, making sure she ate it.
"And? I know who she's related to, that guy ruined my life!" Matthew responded harshly.
"I don't know who you're talking about, but your brother died of a heart attack, not from them! Maybe if he took a ton of pounds off and drank less beer, he would still be alive today!" Martha shouted back.
As the couple argued, Binkus, Thalia, and Rosie slowly crept out of the house. Once they closed the door, Binkus started laughing.
"What are you laughing for?" Thalia arched an eyebrow at the fish man.
"She's arguing with her new boyfriend! Hah! That's what she gets for divorcing me!" Binkus laughed out.
"So... Did we do our job or...?" Rosie trailed off.
"Oh, you two did more than that! I'm going to recommend you guys to all of my friends!" Binkus would stop laughing, before he suddenly did. "But I do need a ride home."

"Ugh, I hate this stupid homework! Why must I be tortured by this?" Alexander spoke dramatically, staring down at his homework.
"It's torture for me too, you know. I have to hear you complain about it." Genesis doomscrolled on her phone.
As Alexander finished up his homework, he looked up at the redhead, "did Lucas come in today?"
"Nah, he had a doctor's appointment, why? You want to make out with him?" Gensis smirked.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny. No, I don't want to make out with him." Before Alexander could finish, Rosie and Thalia walked in.
"Rosie, I still don't know what you're going to do when you get your knee surgery." Thalia took off her hoodie and hung it up, revealing a pale blue shirt.
"My uncle said he would take me where I need to go until my parents can get their time off for it." Rosie shrugged, sitting down in her usual seat and began scrolling on her phone.
