I yawned as I hit my alarm clock with my left hand. Ughhh it's 8 am. Feels earlier then that. I open my eyes, looking to the ceiling as I rub my face to wake up. I roll to my side, not ready to start the day. Gotta do it anyways though. I sit up on my bed, moving the blankets so they stay on my lap and go on my phone.

I tap "clear all" and put my phone on the bed as I stand up. I slowly walk towards the bathroom, and look at myself in the mirror. My hair was a mess. Yikes. That'll hurt to brush out, I thought to myself as I "searched" my counter for toothpaste. After a minute, and my eyes no longer being blurry, I was brushing my teeth thinking about what to do today. It was my day off work, so I didn't have any prior commitments. I heard a slight buzzing from my bedroom and ignored it as I spit out and then went to work on the birds nest I call hair. Taking out the hair tie as smoothly as I could, I then began brushing my hair from about 3 inches up from the bottom. My hair wasn't that long. It went down maybe to the middle of my bisep, and was currently dyed with an ombre of a vibrant deep purple halfway up my hair. As I continued to work through the knots, i glanced at my face. I saw my grayish green eyes staring back at me with eye bags under them. Oops, guess I stayed up to late again.
"I need coffee" I said aloud as I gave up on on my hair for now.
I splashed some water in my face and pat it dry with a towel. Walking out of my bathroom, I sat on my bed for a moment and put on some fuzzy socks. What? I'm cold. Slippers are over rated.
Grabbing my phone off the bed, I put it in my pocket and turned on the TV. I turned and listened to the news as backround sound as I turned on the coffee pot. I have no idea how people live without coffee. I stood there for a minute, before grabbing a mug, pouring some joe, and plopping down on the sofa with my legs kicked up on the farthest armrest.
The news was boring as always, so I changed the chanel. Oddly enough family feud re runs came on. I sighed and turned it up anyways as I went to get "ready" for the day. Walking back to my room with my warm, half drank cup o' joe, I sat on my bed, staring at my open closet.
Do I go out today or do I not? That is the question. I look at my phone as if it'll hold the answers, when it dings with a text. Odd, mom works on Saturdays and my other friends would be sleeping in. I thought to myself as I tapped the notification and entered my password.
?: "heyy! Remember us?"
??: "sid, calm down it's 9 am."
Me: "uh who is this?"
?: "Quinny! I'm so hurt you don't remember me!"
I froze for a second. No one has called me "Quinny" since Sidney back in junior year.
Me: "Sidney Amser?!"
?: "yk it bby"
??: "so do you know who I am now?"
Me: "Sid it's been forever!! How are you?"
Sid: "I been good, me and J still together."
??: "proud of it too."
Me: "wow! Almost 3 years now huh? Congrats J!
J: "Thanks Quinny."
Sid: "Anywayss, I found your number and wanted to see if you could hang today?"
Me: "ofc! We haven't hung out since graduation!"
I looked up at my closet with a smile. Now I know what I'm doing today. I stood up and walked to the closet, grabbing a old frayed shirt with the ACDC logo on it. I'm not necessarily a band nerd, but I can appreciate good music. I yanked my favorite hoodie off a hanger aswell and tossed them both onto my bed before heading to my dresser. I grabbed a pair of jeans, a pair of leggings, and a work out top before heading back to my bed.
I saw the texts saying they wanted to meet at the new Cafe a block away from me and texted a quick reply. Now I had 3 hours to kill. I changed into my workout top and leggings before tying my hair into a loose ponytail. I put my phone into my pocket, and walked out the door of my apartment. Locking the door behind me of course. Never be to safe. Even though i wont need my phone, it's always handy if a creep tries to follow you. I walk towards the large park behind my building and see that it's empty. Better for me I guess. Less embarrassment. I walk to the park and into the slight foresting that surrounds it.
Silently, I listen for noise before I take off the taping on my chest, without taking my shirt off, and shift. I know this sounds odd, but I'm not too comfortable in my body so I wind up looking more like a guy to those who don't pay attention. Oh yeah, I never explained. I'm Quinton Greenspan [qu-inn-ton Green-sp-in]. I'm 21 years old with dirty blonde hair, a "normal" body type, and a conscience.
That's not what you wanted to know huh? Dang. Alright. I'm a wolf. Well, werewolf technically. As far as I know, there isn't anyone like me. I'm an outcast. It's usual. Been the "outcast nerd" since 6th grade. My wolf form mimics my human, besides the whole purple hair tips. Grey eyes that seem green at some angles, and dirty blonde hair (well fur I guess).
As I'm telling you about this, I'm running around the "woods" that surround the city nature trail. It's small, but it's good enough. I wasn't very large in wolf form, so I can easily pass as a teenaged regular wolf if I need to.
After around an hour of running, I shift back with my clothes fully in tact. Would've been embarrassing if they didn't shift back with me. I'm not "fat" but I'm definitely not "skinny" by any means either. Glancing at my phone that I had hidden in a bush, I saw I had about one hour to shower and get dressed before I should start heading over. It was almost 11 already! Time flies I guess.
Once I was back in my apartment, I went to my bathroom and started up the shower, grabbed a towel and quickly brushed my hair. I spent atleast 20 minutes in the shower, most of which was just letting the hot water hit my face and relaxing. After I was out of the shower, I brushed my hair again and let it air-dry as I got dressed.
My shirt had a black base to it with a red ACDC logo on it. It was slightly frayyed on the hem but not enough to look like crap, yet. My jeans where normal denim ripped jeans. Nothing special. I tied my hoodie around my waist and went to get my braclets. Walking to my desser, I grabbed my necklace that had a red pendant is the shape of a Cresent moon. Yes I know ironic? Nope. It was giving to me by a friend in highschool. I also grabbed the 3 rubber bands that sat next to my lamp on the dresser
I'm not exactly the best at DIY but I do know how to add charms to rubber bands for a makeshift charm bracelet. My favorite braclet was the one I grabbed first. It had 5 charms on it so far. One of a diploma that my friend J gave me, one of a sword that I got from a Ren fest around 5 years ago, a mood pendant in the shape of Yin and Yang, one of a puzzle piece I bought to raise funds for autism, and one in the shape of the Eiffel tower. It wasn't from Paris sadly, but I love Paris so I got it anyways.
After putting a hair tye on my other wrist, I grabbed my phone off my bed, keys from the counter, and walked out. Of course I locked the door. No criminals. Swiper no swiping kinda thing, ya' know? Anyways. I turned the corner and sat at the bus stop and went on my phone while I waited.

I cleared them out and put on some music. After about 3 songs and me skipping 5 songs, the bus arrived and I payed my ticket then sat near the front. Free window seat. My music continued, and right as my favorite song was going to play, the bus stopped at my stop. I got off the bus and checked the time before heading to the cafe.
