*Tim*
After leaving Jay to go to my own apartment my mind started wondering about Jay's mystery admirer. I have yet to meet someone by that name at our school but doesn't mean he/she doesn't exist. Granted no many know that the locker I use constantly is Jay's though, which narrows the candidates down considerably. I sighed as I entered my little apartment. I turned on the light. The little studio apartment was decorated pretty minimally and with the bare minimum in furniture.
"These thoughts are going nowhere," I said aloud as I put my bag down by the doorframe and opted to go take a shower to clear my head.
Will have to hand it to this Seo though. I have never seen Jay that confused about a love confession or put that much thought into it. In the past he would just quickly deny it or give some awful rejection, which usually left the other person upset or angry. This time seemed to catch his eye maybe he finally decided to at least be open to the possibility. I finished my shower wrapping a towel around my waist and use another to dry my hair as I stepped out of the bathroom my phone started ringing.
"Oh, who is calling?' I was curious when I got the phone the caller ID read 'Sean' I quickly answered before it hung up. "Hey, what's up?"
"Hey, man how are things going? You seemed a bit off today," Sean asked with concern clear in his voice.
"You know me too well," I laughed a bit at the question Sean, and I had been friends since middle school, and we had always been close like brothers. "Jay got a confession letter today from a secret admirer."
"Ah," Sean took a moment. "I wouldn't stress too much if at all Jay probably forgot all about it by now."
Yep, that would have been normal of Jay, but "he didn't he actually has been giving it a lot of serious thought surprisingly."
"WHAT?!" I could hear two voices exclaim in shock. They were so loud I actually had to move the phone from my ear temporarily. "Jay? Our Jay? Mr. 'I have zero clue about love' is actually giving this a serious thought?"
"Yeah, that would be him." I couldn't help but smile because Jay was indeed all of that.
"Like how serious of a thought?" the other voice asked.
I considered for a moment downplaying how serious to avoid more shock, "he actually was pacing, and distracted all through our presentation." There was dead silence on the other end of the phone. "Hello? Guys?" the silence continued, so I had to check my phone, which showed we were indeed connected.
Then Sean came back on the line, "I am sorry this is a lot to process all at once."
I chuckled a bit I understood as well. I was still processing everything. "Understandable, I am still having a hard time."
"Speaking of you," Sean's tone changed to one of concern. "How are you handling this?"
I scrunched my face of course he would ask, and I sighed, "I am fine. I am a bit worried for Jay, but if he is happy, I will be fine."
I heard the clear 'hmm...' on the other end of the phone. "Yeah, be honest I am not Jon that line doesn't work on me."
I sighed again Mr. Persistent, "I am fine. I am a bit worried for Jay," another all knowing 'hmm...' came over the phone. I finally caved in, "I am a bit hurt that is was not me he noticed, but some strangers letter."
"Thought so," Sean chimed in success. "Tim, I have known you for how long? I was there when Jay popped in on your radar. You can't play dumb with me."
Sean was right no use hiding anything from him. I took a moment before deciding to alter the subject some. "Speaking of Jon where did he go? I know he was there."
Sean laughed, "he is in the other room talking to Jay on the phone. That news was a bit too shocking for him."
I couldn't help but laugh at that. "Any ways good try, but what are your thoughts on this admirer?"
Damn it he was not taking the bait right now. "I am not sure yet. I first need to figure out the 'who' is the admirer first then will have to plan from there."
Sean was silent briefly before returning, "that sounds like a good start. I just hope you don't get to hurt in all this man."
"I will be fine. It is not like I am losing him as a friend or anything," I slightly smiled. "Besides it will be good for him if he chooses to pursue this."
Sean made a slight noise not that I blamed him I could barely believe my own words. "So, when are you two going to tell Jay your together Mr. Girlfriend?"
"When we feel Jay is ready," Sean said in all seriousness. Sean and Jon got together the last year of high school but refused to tell Jay. Well refuse is a strong statement for what really happened. They told him and Jay being well clueless did not comprehend what they told him. So, thus now waiting for the right time to retell him the truth. "Well Jon just got back, so I need to go."
"Alright man take care," I was never so happy to be done with a conversation before.
The next morning, I got up earlier than normal and headed to school. My goal was to see if I could catch this Seo dropping off a letter. I walked through the university doors and headed to the hallway with Jay's locker. By the time I got there I first noticed Jay's normal kept short brown hair before I noticed another boy slightly shorter than Jay and looked to also be in our year with long black bangs and almost honey-colored eyes. I stopped for a moment in disbelief as to what I was seeing. Before I could take a step further the smaller one reached up and kissed Jay before leaving. I stood in the hallway stunned at the sight I had witnessed. At that moment I realized I was not going to be okay with this, however, did not know what to do either. That brief moment felt like a million needles all over. Before I realized it happening tears started to flow from my eyes.
