"Oh shoot!" He says as he checks the time on his wrist. His friends pause their laughter and look over at him.

"Ethan has something tonight?" One of the guys elbowed him, teasingly. "...could it be Addie?"

"C'mon, we just got close this week man.." He rolled his eyes. Laughing the joke off, he grabbed his backpack on the way out the door. "I'll catch up with y'all later. Hey Wyatt, don't forget about tomorrow's history test....Wyatt?"

"Ethan...I think he is asleep," Cole puts a finger against his lips and jabs his thumb at the boy sleeping in an upright position against the bed board. The boy sitting next to Cole sets his right headphone behind his ear and cracks a smile with his eyes trained on the PC monitor. "I'll make sure to wake him up and remind him of his test tomorrow."

"Thanks Jay," Ethan pats him on the shoulder and says before he walks out the door. "Don't forget to tell Wyatt, 'cause I might need a cheat-on for tomorrow."

The three boys looked at each other and laughed. Ethan walks out the door with a ciao and grabs his bike to go home. The sun was almost setting and he needed to get home fast. As fast as he could by pumping those pedals fast, he reaches his house on the other side of the neighborhood and quickly sets his bike aside. Once he stepped inside the house, a huge red dog came bouldering against Ethan making him fall onto the floor with a heavy thud. Ethan laughs as the dog lathered his face with multiple wet kisses. It took sometime for the dog to calm down before Ethan asked it

"Where is mom Griseo?" The dog whimpered and held up a paw. Ethan sighs and gives Griseo a handshake. "Mom must be working late again. Let me hook you up with some food first G."

After feeding his dog, Ethan walks upstairs to his room to drop off his book bag and turn on his PC. As the screen loads, he sets the headphones on and plays some music to clear his thoughts. Once his avatar beams up on the home screen, he clicks over to start a match and waits for the other four avatar slots to fill up. Over the span of 5 minutes, three players join his team leaving one slot still open. Ethan was getting a bit impatient but before he clicked to quit the match, a player finally filled the empty slot with a gamertag called Anonyfuturum.

He presses a button on the side of his headset and says 'Thank you for filling up the last slot Anonyfuturum'. Later on he didn't know that he was interacting with a girl from a whole different time altogether.
