Cassius' POV

We walked into the lobby. I had to struggle to get out of the herd of muscly guys. I was gasping dramatically for fresh air. I'm sure I smelled of wet-dog considering the snow was melting on their clothes already. Ew.

Aiden. Red. Evan Trevor? Where was Trev? He wasn't with my men-in-waiting. I expected him to be there out of any of them. He was the fourth wheel for crying out loud. He never missed something like this.

The rushed over to me, breaking away from the werewolves surrounding them also. They looked me over like hawks. Red grabbed my arms, spinning me around in a full circle.

"They didn't hurt you in any way, did they?" I didn't answer, still captivated by his flame red hair. I swear it's gotten redder since yesterday. "Your majesty?"

I snapped out of it. "No. Except mentally. This guy," --pointing to the alpha-- "swears up and down that I'm his mate. Rubbish." I started laughing, but they remained stoned face.

"We must get you out of here, Your majesty." Evan urged. Aiden nodded in agreement. "It's not safe." He leaned closer to my ear. "The truce had been broken."

My eyes shot up. The truce? Between us and werewolves? Can't be. I didn't even do anything! I went along with the whole thing. Didn't kill one of them. I was proud of myself. But Evan was right, if the truce was broken, it was not safe. Obviously these guys hadn't heard the news yet.

"Where's Trevor?" I asked the three. There faces went blank.

"He's currently in the hospital." Red spoke up, still facing to the ground, not daring to meet my eyes. "He's the one who broke the truce."

No. It can't be. Not Trev. He was my favorite. He wouldn't.

As if sensing my doubts, Red said, "He did, Prince Cassius. You must believe us when we say we must leave. Now."

"No one is leaving." Said the Alpha. "I demand to know what is going on here and who you guys are." His men advanced until they were surrounding us in a full circle. So much for a quick escape. I guess the only thing left to do is reason.

I started. "I am Prince Cassius Heine Vahn. This," -gesturing to the others- "is Aiden, Evan, and Red. My royal advisers and closest friends."

"There seems to be some misunderstanding." Aiden addressed. "I'm sure we can work this all out with no trouble. Though don't expect to be let off easy, Werewolf. You did kidnap our Prince."

The edge in his voice was hostile. The alpha could sense it too by the way he growled low in his throat. For some reason, his growl was.. sexy. I shook my head.

"He went into our territory, killing a human. What were we suppose to do?"

"The truce has been broken." I randomly said, getting it off my chest. I'd rather this break out into a whole damn war than got through this debate again.

"What?" Alpha boy said, looking to his subordinates. "We did no harm to your prince, I assure-"

"You didn't break it." I cut in. "So don't get your panties in a twist." I looked to Red. "Explain it to him, because I clearly have no idea either."

Red sighed. "One of us," Trevor "got into a mix up with one of your kind, killing him in the process. The Alpha of that particular clan waged full war on us. Regardless of the fact both species were at fault for the outbreak."

Everyone exchanged worried glances with one another. Hell, I was flipping on the inside. Trevor of all people started this insane possible war.

"What clan would be dumb enough to do that?" The alpha snarled.

"Moon Treader's." My friends said in unison.

"Well we have to stop them."

"We can't let them drag us into this."

"I agree. Alpha what do we do?"

The wolves all started throwing comments around. My group and I stayed quiet.

"We have the prince right here. They can't attack us if he's our hostage!" One shouted, bringing us out of our silence. My group drew me back into them, fangs flashing.

"Silence!" The alpha growled. "We are NOT taking my mate hostage. Do you hear me?" There were some unsettled nods from the crowd. His voice was hypnotic. He looked at me, all anger leaving his blue eyes. "Sorry about that. We will not use you."

"No worries." I said, heaving myself off of Red and brushing off my shirt. "But while I'm here, we can discuss this. Get it settled even." I may have acted calm, but in my mind I wanted to punch out a wall. What was going through Trevor's mind when he picked a fight with a Werewolf?

"The Moon Treader's are nothing more than a troublesome group. They've been getting us involved in countless crazy fights over the years ever since they formed. But this is going to far. I knew it wouldn't be long until they took a wrong step." He rubbed his temples. "We'll take care of it personally. Don't worry."

I looked over to my boys. They all seemed convinced that was the best way. I could see anger in their faces though. They were probably thinking of Trev. I knew I was.

"I'll stall my people." I said formally. "What are your plans?" This was all moving to fast. I had to take command. It was my duty as the prince.

"It's about time we wipe them out." He looked to his right-hand man. "Send out notices to the nearby clans asking for support. Tell them of what's happening."

I was kind of shocked that they would go as far as wiping out a whole clan, but they were his orders. I would've done the same to prevent a war. It was necessary, but I sort of wanted to have one. I wanted to kill them. Put them in their place. Once and for all. But another side of me didn't want to kill him. The alpha.

"Go." He told us. "Stall, Your Majesty."

The words sounded so sweet coming from his mouth, and I didn't even know why.
