Chapter 2

The shop of the exotic fruits was nothing exotic.

It was a sadly kept shop from the outside.

“This is your exotic fruit shop?” both Victor and Skylar said at the same time.

They turned to look at each other.

They didn’t bother turning twice.

“COME ONE COME ALL!!!” the fruit seller’s voice boomed behind them.

“Exotic fruits?” Erica asked.

“Aah yes yes, come in.” he said asking her to follow him.

Ivan forced Victor to follow the girls.

The inside of the shop was a wonder.

The visitors were in awe.

It was lit up with hundreds of candles and lanterns.

It smelled heavenly and the fruits looked gorgeous.

“See?” Erica told her sister.

“It’s amazing” Skylar said.

“So Vicky, what do you think?” Ivan asked.

“Um its good, well lit I guess.” Victor said, not wanting to damage his pride while he was in awe of it.

“Oh come on, it’s beautiful!” Skylar said looking at Victor.

“Well not beautiful enough for me.”, victor said not bothering to look at her.

“Arrogant idiot.” Skylar muttered under her breath.

“Did you say something?” Victor asked looking irritated.

“Actually, I did say something.” Skylar said trying to stare him down.

“Has your mother not taught you how to speak to men?” Victor said giving her his most annoyed look.

“She has, I bother not to listen to her.” Skylar said, her look exactly imitating victors.

“Sky, lets go, enough,” Erica said pulling her sister out of the shop.

“Teach her some manners” Victor shouted from behind.

“I apologize for her rude behavior.” Erica said looking behind.

“I just took back the apology” Skylar shouted, giving Victor a murderous look.

“I could kill her.” Victor told Ivan.

“Her sister was pretty!” Ivan said. 

“Lets just go back, my mood is ruined.” Victor said pulling Ivan with him.

“I could kill him.” Skylar told Erica.

“No you could not!” Erica said jokingly.

“I am hungry, can we go home?” Skylar asked.

“Oh well, lets get what mother asked to get first, then we will go home.” Erica reassured her.

That night Skylar could not sleep again. The heat was driving her crazy.

Victor’s father came to wake him up.

He held a cup in his hands.

“Ready?” he asked him.

“Always am” the son replied.

And his training continued.

“Father when will you step down from the throne?” victor asked.
