In The Right Time [Prayer of Love #1]

PROLOGUE

"Stop it. Matagal nang tapos 'yon." I confidently said.

"Okay, sige. Sabi mo, e." She said, still suspicious.

We're both laughing now, talking about our experiences. Tumigil na din kami agad dahil nasa coffee shop nga pala kami, nakakahiya naman sa ibang customers. I miss catching up with her.

"Wala ka na bang klase, Sis?" tanong ko kay Clara na kanina pa nakaharap sa laptop niya.

"Wala na. Pero may case study kasi ako next week. Ginawa ko na para review nalang ang gagawin ko once na tapos ko na'to." she answered, her eyes was still on her laptop.

"How about you? Wala kang duty?" she also asked and glance at me.

"Wala. Pina-cancel ko muna. Gusto ko mag unwind ngayon." bugtong hininga kong sagot.

"Naks, unwind. So sino or ano nanaman ang naging dahilan ng pagka-yamot mo?" tanong niya sakin habang inaasar ako ng mata niya.

I rolled my eyes at her. This woman, napaka lakas talaga makiramdam. 

"Wala naman. Just thinking what would we do now? I mean now that we're already Graduates, have a Stable Jobs." I started talking, anxiously.

Nakita kong napa hinto siya sa pagtatype sa laptop niya at agad na napa tingin sa'kin.

"Wow ha, sana all naman ako sa Graduate." Clara said and roll her eyes.

I chuckled and continue what I'm saying, "Seriously, I don't even know now."

"Just a friendly advice, you know. Enjoy everything you have right now. Your job is a Blessing, you're helping many people, though. Also, still focus on our Ministry. We're still young, come on! You don't have to rush some things. I know what you're thinking..." Clara said still typing something on her laptop.

"Yeah, you're right. Ang galing mo sa part na 'yon!" I complimented, but she just roll her eyes.

Hanggang ngayon, I still don't know kung anong mangyayari. I'm not rushing God's plan to our lives, but ang tagal din namin naghintay. Maybe hindi talaga siya ang God's will? Bata pa din naman kami hanggang ngayon, pero baka wala na talaga? Should I give others a chance? Sa tingin ko, wala namang masama 'don.

"Can I seat in?" a familiar voice said behind my back that made me froze for a second.

Clara was also shocked and nodded while looking behind my back.

"Go ahead." Clara said and smirked at me.

Erick immediately pulled the chair beside me, put his coffee and things on our table, and casually seated.

Familiar move, huh.

"What are you doing here? Wala ka 'din pasok?" I asked Erick, looking at him.

"Meron. Kaka off duty ko lang, pinapabalik mo agad ako?" He sarcastically said.

"Duh, I'm just asking." I said and roll my eyes.

He also roll his eyes before sipping on his coffee.  Palaban talaga kahit kailan, sinadya niyang ipakita sa'kin na iniirapan niya ako. Then there's Clara, silently giggling in front of us, probably enjoying the quarrel scene of me and Erick.

No one dares to talk for a minute. Biglang naubos ang kwentuhan namin ni Clara, bigla kasing sumusulpot ang isang 'to. Our silence break when Clara's phone rang, she answer it immediately, but I panicked when she started packing up her things. Erick also noticed the rush on Clara's action.

Iiwan ako ni Clara kasama si Erick?

"I have to go. There's an emergency call from the Hospital. I really need to go." Clara said and stand up to give me a hug and to have a fist bomb at Erick.

"O-okay. Take care, see you on Saturday." I said and hugged her.

"Ingat, Lola." Erick also said and had a fist bomb with Clara.

Erick and I were left at the table. I don't know what we can talk about. 

"How's work?" he suddenly asked.

"It's okay. Madami din minsan ang pasyente, pero kaya naman." I said looking blankly at my phone.

"I really want to talk to you about..." he said,

I looked at him, "About?"

He sighed and looked directly to my eyes before telling me, "About God's plan for the both us."
