Start from the beginning

Billy points a finger at her. "You're funny, you know that sweets?" "Don't call me sweets." Billy chuckles. "And feisty too." "What do you want?" "A date with you." Jessica snickers. "You must have amnesia." "I assure you I don't, sweets." "Oh, you definitely do. You very well know that Steve's my boyfriend."

Billy shakes his head. "Oh, pretty boy is your boyfriend? My bad, I thought he was your bitch." Jessica narrows her eyes. "Look here Hargroves," Jessica takes a step closer to Billy who simply smirks down at her. "This whole 'bad boy' vibe may have worked back where you're from, but it doesn't work here, especially on me."

"So, you're saying I don't have a chance with you, sweets?" "That's exactly what I'm saying." "Oh sweets, you'll regret staying with pretty boy instead of getting with me." Billy bumps shoulders with Jessica, making her stumble back. Jessica glares at his back as he strutted down the hallway. "What an asshole," Jessica grumbles under her breath.

After a brutal lost against the skins team, Steve storms off to the locker rooms to take a shower before class. He strips his clothes off and steps underneath the shower. Flicking the knob, hot water showered down on him. He begins to scrub his body when suddenly, he felt a presence beside him.

"Don't sweat it, Harrington," Steve lets out a sigh. He didn't want to deal with Billy anymore. "Today's just not your day, man," Billy tells him. "Yeah. Not your week." Tommy chuckles. "Billy shows up and you're losing your king status here at school. Better be careful, Jessica will leave you for him since they were flirting in the halls this morning." Steve pauses and looks over at Tommy. "Oh, shit. You didn't know?" Tommy laughs, shutting his water off.

"Don't take it too hard, man," Billy says as Steve starts shampooing his hair. "A pretty boy like you has got nothing to worry about. Plenty of bitches in the sea." Billy shuts Steve's water off. "Am I right?" Steve lets out an annoyed sigh as he looks over at Billy who slaps his back before walking off. "I'll be sure to leave you some after I'm done with Jessica."

Steve angrily flips the switch back on, feeling the hot water rain down on him.

A few minutes later, he shut the water off and dried himself off. He quickly gets dressed and storms out of the locker rooms. His feet carry him down the hallway. He spots Jessica walking straight at him. The two stops in front of each other.

"I hate Billy."

Realizing what the other had said, they stare at each other for a moment. Steve points at Jessica. "You hate Billy?" Jessica nods. "After today, my hatred for him has grown." "What'd he do?" Steve asks, already knowing from Tommy. "The asshole not only flirted with me but also threatened me." "He threatened you?! Okay, that's it," Steve says looking around the hallway for Billy. "Where is he?"

"Steve," Jessica brought his attention back onto her. "What did he do to you? Did he beat you again in basketball?" Steve nods. "Yes, but that's not important. He practically threw the fact that he flirted with you into my face." "I didn't-" Steve shakes his head. "I know you didn't. I never thought that just to let you know." He tells her making Jessica relieved. It just," he lets out a grunt. "It pisses me off that he's bothering my girl."

Jessica's heart flutters when Steve calls her his girl.

Jessica takes Steve's hand into hers and tugs him along. "Walk me to class?" Steve nods. "Of course." He intertwines their fingers together. "What do you say we could get a glass of milkshake after school?" Jessica asks, catching a smile on Steve's face. "With two straws?" Jessica nods.

"It's a date."

Steve runs a hand through Jessica's locks. He parts from her, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Thank you for the milkshake date." Jessica smiles at him. "You're welcome." "I-" Steve clears his throat. "We both needed that after-"
