Pathetic. The lot of them.

A girl with short black hair walked [strut] towards Ariana with an arrogant look. ''Am Pansy, Pansy Parkinson''. She said sneering down at the red haired. The bushy haired we met back at the train snorted, causing Parkinson to glare at her. ''You think my name is funny?. Well, no need to ask who you are. Unkept hair, and a teeth like that of a rabbit's. You must be a mudblood''. She spat, making the girl look down in shame. Parkinson turned back to Ariana. ''You will learn Potter, that some people are just better than others. I can help you there''. She stretched out her hand with a stupid smile on her face.

Ariana glared at her. ''I think i know a better person when i see one''.

Parkinson's smile immediately fell, replaced with a confused look. I really couldn't help but roll my eyes at the girl's  stupidity. Did she really think she could be friends with my sister with that rotten attitude of hers, even though 'the girl who lived' was really no different?.

''You just got buuurned Parkinson!''. Black mocked and his friends chuckled in amusement. Just when Parkinson was about to start a fight with Black, the professor came back.

She led us into the great hall making most of us gasp at the enchanted ceiling. It was beautiful.

I looked around the great hall nervously, observing as the older year's looked at us intently. My eyes trailed off towards the head table, and i couldn't help but raised an eyebrow when i saw lord Black sitting next to Lord Prince with a small smile on his face. I didn't know the two where professors here.

Oh well. My eyes drifted away from them and moved to the next professor, a short goblin-like teacher, then next to him was a plump lady in yellow robes, and next to her my mother was smiling down at Ariana who waved at her. I rolled my eyes and turned away, focusing back at the professor who was now standing next to a stool. She held a parchment in one hand and a hat in the other. ''If you hear your name, please step forward and sit on the stool. Hermione Granger!''. The bushy haired girl nervously walked to the stool and sat. It took a while, but the hat made its decision.

''Ravenclaw!''.

''Draco Malfoy!''. With a sneer, the boy arrogantly walked to the stool. Before the hat even touched his head, it placed him in Slytherin, receiving a loud applause as he walked towards them.

A few names later.

''Ronald Weasley!''. I smiled as the boy walked up with a nervous look. Once the hat was put on his head, it didn't take long before it shouted.

''Gryffindor!''.

I sighed sadly as the red haired walked towards the gryffindor table.

Guess we won't be in the same house after all.

''Aether Black!''. Said boy smirked and jogged to the stool. I rolled my eyes at him when he winked at me.

''Slytherin!''. Obviously.

''Daphne Greengrass''. The girl gracefully walked to the stool and sat. Moments later she too went to Slytherin.

''Ariana Potter!''.

The whispers broke again, and i just sighed. Said girl walked arrogantly to the stool and sat. I saw her lips moving as she closed her eyes. ''Please be gryffindor, please be gryffindor...''. She kept on chanting.

The hat seemed to have considered her choice, and he eventually placed her in gryffindor.

The lions roared as my sister struted towards them.

''We've got Potter! We've got Potter!''. Ron's brothers chanted together and i couldn't help but snort at the glare Ron was giving them.

''Eskel Potter!''. Eventually everyone's attention went back to the sorting as my cousin walked to the stool quietly, and just as quietly got sorted in Slytherin.

''Aurora Potter!''.

The whispers broke again, but this time it was out of confussion.

''Aurora, she said?''.

''Is she a distant cousin of the Potters?''.

''Lord Potter only has a son, and the girl who lived is an only child. Who is she?''.

To be honest, those words hurt. It really hurts when nearly no one knew of your existance...even though I pretend it's for the best.

I did what i do best in this situations.

Show no emotions.

''Interesting. Very interesting''.  The sorting hat said in my head. ''You, Aurora Potter, are something else''.

''Yeah yeah, just sort me into Hufflepuff and save yourself the stress''.

The hat chuckled. ''Very cunning and ambitious. Ronald Weasley requested the same you know, but Hogwarts thought he'd do better in Gryffindor''.

''What do you mean by, 'Hogwarts' thought?''.

''The castle has a mind of its own Aurora, and You do not belong in hufflepuff''. Before i could protest the hat continued. ''But Hogwarts is willing to allow it only because your plans will have a big impact in our world one day. Are you sure this is what you want?''.

''Yes''

''Then Let it be...HUFFLEPUFF!_good luck, my queen''.

Huh?.

Before i could question the hat on what he meant by 'my queen', the professor took it off my head.

Sighing, i made my way towards the cheering badgers, sending a smile and a wave at Ron who waved back before giving me a thumbs up.

Atleast this wasn't the end of our friendship.
