Chapter 3 - So that's why I'm adopted

Start from the beginning

"It's all my fault!" His mother screamed, before engulfing herself in more tears.

"I shouldn't have listened to those nurses! What was I thinking? I would have loved her so much, even if she did have a learning difficulty!" Anne sobbed.

"I'm sure she has a lovely family and is loved dearly, I promise she's happy," Des promised. Even though he couldn't be sure as they never met the adoptive family. Anne thought about it for a while.

"I want to meet her," Anne demanded, tears still sliding down her cheeks.

"Not while she's so young, it would confuse her! When she's older we can all meet her," Des reasoned.

"I want to meet my daughter," Anne said, sounding determined.

** Now**

"So she didn't want to give me up?" Sophia asked. I shook my head.

"Of course not! Mum's not like that," I said. Sophia pondered over it in her head for a while, chewing her lip and looking at her hands.

"No, I don't suppose she is," She said.

There was another awkward silence as I studied my little sister again. She had hair just like mine, but way longer, eyes just as bright as mine and she was slim. You could tell at one glance she was my sister, well I could anyway. Even when I met her at Bessie's yesterday, I thought, whoah ! She looks like me! I guess she'd never really noticed though. I could tell that Mum and Gemma already loved her. I think I did too, but I needed to get to know her.

"So, how do I make friends around here?" Soph asked, kicking at the gravel on the path. Louis shrugged, but I had an idea.

"Well, what kind of stuff are you into?" I asked. Soph thought about it for a while.

"Well, I dance, and I kinda sing," She said.

"That figures, seeing as you're Harry's sister," Louis smirked.

Soph smirked too, I laughed.

"Well, how about we go down to where all the dancers hang out?" I suggested. Soph nodded and I started to lead the way.

I didn't understand, from all the stories Bessie had told me about Soph , I thought she would be loud, hyper and confident but she wasn't. Maybe she was nervous.

Then we got to the football pitch where all the dancers usually hung around, with their footballer boyfriends. As I approached, one of my old friends, Sam smiled at me as he came off the pitch. He raised a hand and we all started to walk faster.

"Styles! I haven't seen you in ages! Got yourself a girl?" He asked, jerking his head at Soph. I laughed and shook my head.

"No, this is my little sister Soph, she's a dancer so I thought she could meet some friends here," I explained.

"Smart idea," Sam agreed. I turned to Soph, grabbed her arm and led her towards where all the dancers were sat on the sideline. They all looked up and smiled, I knew most of them from school and through Sam.

"Girls' this is my little sister Soph, she's a dancer too," I said, letting go of her arm and walking back over to Louis and Sam.

~Sophia's point of view~

I shot Harry a look as he walked off, leaving me with all these girls. Most of them just waved hi to me but two of the patted the grass between them for me to sit down. So I did. They both smiled at me and said Hi at the same time.
