"HOW MANY???" he asked.

"well school starts in august over there but i want to settle before starting school." you answered.

"that's reasonable." akaashi commented.

"NO ITS NOT AKAASHI!" bokuto yelled.

"oh stop being a baby about it." akaashi told bokuto.

"i think we should go now." you said.

"yeah let's go," akaashi said.

bokuto was on the brink of tears.

the three of you were sitting at the table with your mom. she took a picture of you and bokuto since she was so proud that her child, and half child, who were complete dumbasses, managed to graduate.

bokuto was talking about how he would miss practice matches and playing with akaashi. he also mentioned his goals of becoming a professional volleyball player.

by the time bokuto had finished talking, kuroo and kenma had arrived.

"KUROO!" you and bo yelled at the same time.

"hoes before bros, bro." kuroo said.

"fine, just this once." he joked.

you hugged kuroo tightly, "congrats tetsu," you smiled.

"congrats y/n," he smiled back.

"bro," kuroo smiled at bokuto.

"bro." bokuto smiled back.

they high fived and hugged like they normally do.

"man, i can't believe you and y/n actually graduated."

"hey! we're not that dumb." you said.

you could hear kenma and akaashi snicker to themselves.

"hi m/n," kuroo smiled and lightly hugged your mom.

"oh please, at this point just call me mom." she said, which got you and kuroo blushing.

"hey kenma," you smiled at him.

"hey... congrats." he said.

"thanks." you kept smiling.

the 6 of you, including your mom, were all sitting at the table, looking through the menu.

"THERES AN ALL YOU CAN EAT SPECIAL TODAY!" bokuto yelled.

"OH EM GEE!" you exclaimed.

"whoever wins calls dibs on kuroo!" bokuto smirked at you.

"but if you win, who keeps akaashi?" you asked.

"FUCK! you can have kuroo... for now." he glared at you.

"so what do you all want to order?" your mom interrupted.

you all pondered over what to order until a waiter came, and you all ordered.

"oh em gee." you said.

"what?" kuroo asked.

"former captains and new captains." you smiled.

"y/n don't make me cry!" bokuto fake cried on akaashi's shoulder.

"i hope the team is in good hands with kenma." kuroo added.

"i'm sure it will. right kenma?" you asked.

kenma looked at you two as if you two were interrogating him in a detective show.

"i'll watch your matches from time to time since my uni is close." kuroo said.

"yeah same! except im not going to uni!" bokuto smiled.

"then where are you going?" kenma asked.

"im going pro." bokuto smirked.

the sushi arrived shortly after bokuto's little statement, and you all dug in.

"man i'm stuffed." you said.

"same." kuroo added.

"oh em gee, twin." you smiled.

"me too!" bokuto tried to butt in.

you saw akaashi whisper something to bokuto and bokuto immediately tensed up.

"so... y/n, any plans?" kuroo asked.

"um.."

"she's leaving us." bokuto said while looking down at the table.

"huh? where to?" kuroo asked. kenma was also intrigued.

"america! out of all places!" bokuto exclaimed.

"HAAA??? WHA- H- WHEN!?!" kuroo bombarded you with questions.

"school starts in august..." you tried to avoid his gaze.

"and you were planning to tell me WHEN?" he asked.

"kuro, calm down." kenma tried to keep kuroo settled.

"i'm sorry kuroo. i applied in the beginning of the school year, never would i have thought that i would've met you, let alone be your girlfriend. and it turns out that i got accepted and it's really the best opportunity for me." you tried to sound reasonable.

kuroo sighed. "when do you leave?" he asked.

"maybe june or july?" you answered.

"i'm taking you on a date every weekend until you have to leave." he smiled.

the tension at the table seemed to relax, but there was one exception. bokuto.

"YOURE GOING TO LET HER LEAVE LIKE THAT?!" bokuto yelled.

"bokuto!" akaashi exclaimed.

"what? there's nothing i can do about it. just promise me one thing y/n," he turned to look at you.

"just promise that you'll come back. and when you do, you'll still be mine." he told you as he held your hands.

"tetsu... i promise." you were honestly shocked. of course you wanted to be his. but you never thought he'd be like this.

"see bokuto? you're overreacting." akaashi scolded bokuto.

the rest of the time flew by and your mom dropped everyone off at their homes. lastly, leaving you and her.

"mom..." you started.

"hm?" she asked.

"did i make the right choice?" you asked.

"if this is what you really wanted, i don't see a problem with it. you'll miss your friends, but luckily you have social media now. and kuroo seems like a nice young man, i'm sure he'd wait for you." your mom smiled, but kept her eyes on the road.

you really hit the jackpot with kuroo huh.
