Bringing home the twins after Eldon was finally cleared for leave after spending a week in the NICU was special. His lungs were averaging out into normalcy and that's all we wanted. Eloise was a fighter in every way possible and was definitely able to let you know. Her little lungs would chirp and squeak as much as she pleased. She also constantly cries. Eldon on the other hand is very quiet and sleeps constantly.
I tucked Eloise into her car seat and snapped her in. Her little eyes fluttered closed and I bent down towards her to kiss her forehead.
“I love you so much, my little princess.” I could not control my happiness because I finally am a father to twins.
Louis was putting Eldon in his car seat and was whispering sweetly to him. Once he was done setting him down, he finally stood up tall and grabbed my hand. His ring on his finger felt a bit cold but I did not mind. We finally picked up the handles of the car seats and made our way out of the hospital, grinning and all. We finally reached the car and unlocked it to situate the twins. Once we got them in their respective spots in the car, we finally shut the doors and went in to the front to drive home. Gemma and the girls were staying at our house waiting for us to return with the babies. The girls were a bit older meaning they were very individual and different from each other. I always allow the girls to stay over if they get sick of Gemma for a weekend. Lilly was excited to meet the babies that when Sadie was pregnant, Lilly would help Sadie with everything. Zayn also was a huge help to Sadie. He absolutely adores Sadie. When Louis and I were at work I could constantly count on those two to help Sadie if she ever was in need of it.
We were almost home and Louis slowly turned to me with a grin. I was hopeful that our lives were going to be different now. Eloise must have awoken because we could hear her cooing behind us.
“I know princess, we are almost home,” Louis spoke softly as he looked in the rearview mirror.
We turned slowly and drove into the driveway. The girls were sitting on our porch smiling massively. They ran over like maniacs toward the car, peeking through the windows.
“Hi girls!” I couldn't wait to show the girls our babies. When they found out that we had twins they were ecstatic.
I got out of the vehicle and opened the door to reveal the twins.
“Oh my goodness!” “They are perfect!”
I was a bit taken back by the fact that Gemma wasn't out here with the girls. She must have been inside. Suddenly we could hear barking from the backyard and I immediately knew it was Cliff. I missed seeing Cliff. My clumsy boy was in need of attention. I pulled Eldon’s carseat out and slowly walked toward the house. Louis was getting ahold of Eloise and followed behind. Eloise was super talkative as she looked up at Louis and Eldon was still sleeping peacefully in his car seat. I stepped into the house with Louis and the girls following and I carefully set Eldon down near the couch.
Gemma was in the kitchen whipping up some baked goods that smelled amazing.
Gemma peeked her head from the hallway and she rushed toward us.
“Oh my, I did not realize you guys got home so early!”
“Well, here we are!”
She peeked at the baby car seats near the couch and just melted before me but before she could I engulfed her in a hug. After her hug, she ran toward the babies and could not contain her excitement. She was finally an auntie. Louis was slowly taking Eloise out of her car seat as carefully as he could and laid her in the crook of Gemma's arm. Gemma just kissed her nose and Louis came up to me and held my hand. We just watched the site before us. We had talked about this moment ever since we got married. I was so happy that my children are already so loved by many.

Eldon was still sleeping in his car seat so I decided to take him back into his nursery to put him to sleep properly. Louis must have snuck behind me without me noticing because he hugged me from behind as I watched Eldon sleep in his bassinet.
“He is beautiful innit he?” Louis spoke in my ear.
“Well, he came from you and Sadie so he is.”
Louis started nibbling my ear which made me giggle. I hushed him and motioned us to leave. I turned the lights off and turned to take another glance at my son sleeping.
As Louis led me to the living room we noticed Eloise chirping at the girls and them pretending to understand her.
“Whats that El? You think we are the coolest?” Lora cocked. Eloise just stared at Lora with not a thought in her head.
“I don’t think she understands the concept of cool yet, Lora,” I tried to say.
“She will, I will teach her if it is the last thing I do.”
“You do that.” I rolled my eyes playfully.
We all just admired Eloise for another hour before Gemma and the girls had to leave. Once they left, Louis laid on the couch with Eloise to get her to sleep. She was fighting not sleeping which was unusual so we figured she was just hungry Louis fed her and after she ate, she quickly fell asleep in Louis’ arms. He started humming softly to her and took her to her nursery. I followed behind and watched Louis with her. He pressed his forehead to hers and kissed it.
“I love you my sweet little pea.”
I quietly came in after leaning in the doorway watching everything go down.

Louis held Eloise for a moment longer allowing me to say goodnight to her.
“Goodnight my little princess.” Louis put her in her bassinet for the night.
