Eyepatch

The battle had gone on for half an hour already and Chongyun refused to give up to his exhaust. He kept running and slashing frantically around the primo geovishap while avoiding it's broad attacks. His sword scarred and chipped the earth dragon's tough scales that had been defending its body up until now. The geovishap finally took notice to the damage it had taken and decided to finish this. It swung it tail at Chongyun, sending him flying to the other side of it's den. Then it dashed to the other side swiftly and bashed it's body against the wall. Chongyun barely dodged the attack and then countered attack with a few spirit blades which were swatted by it's right claw.

Then in that moment Chongyun realized he made a big mistake. It was too late, he was too close and saw it's left claw coming closer and closer to his face. "AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!" Blood seeped from Chongyun's face as takes a scratch to the face from the primo geovishap's claws. But the attack was sloppy and the beast fell to the ground leaving it's belly exposed.

He stared intensely at it's weakened state and only the thing he could think about right now is to kill this monstrous abomination. With all of his remaining energy, he constructs a large spirit blade aimed at the middle of it's stomach. A single double edged cryo claymore that stared the divine beast down without a single hint of mercy. Finally their long and weary battle comes to a close.

But before putting it out of his misery Chongyun muttered, "From whence you came, you son of a bitch!"

With that the blade easily impaled the beast, letting out it's final roar as it turns to dust. Chongyun sat down exhausted. His muscles ached and his body felt like he was burning, but he still needed to his wound. A few scratches here and there, but they were an easy fix. As for his eye, well it had seen better days. He wipes off the blood that seeped from the scar and wraps the bandage covering most of his right side.

Chongyun got back up and trudged himself to collect the Juvenile Jades. It was only two with a few Prithiva Topaz on the side, but it was still something worth using or selling.

"Are you ok, Chongyun." Chongyun turned his head to see Xiao with his same old serious expression, seeming unphased of what had transpired.

"I'm fine. It's just a scratch." He lied. The feeling in his right eye was completely gone. Xiao could tell in flash that the wound was very severe based on what he has seen during his time fighting for Rex Lapis.

Xiao sighed, "I've seen many humans just like you, but none of them are as reckless and persistent." He grabs Chongyun's hand and teleports to Wangshu Inn.

"This is not going to end well."

Lumine Reaction

Lumine and Paimon arrived to Wangshu Inn after a long trip back from Inazuma.

"Finally we're here. Paimon is starving." Paimon groaned.

Lumine chuckled, "Is food the only thing you think about?"

"Hey! That is not true, I also think about finding away to erase that tone deaf bard from the face of the earth."

The two of them were now walking up to the top floor check in for the night only to see some unusually commotion. They could hear that it was Xiao and Chongyun having an argument of some kind.

"Hey Xiao, I'm serious it's nothing to worry about." Chongyun said trying to pull his hand out of the adeptus' grip.

But Xiao didn't listen and responded, "You need healing, Chongyun. That wound is in dire need of treatment."

Lumine and Paimon arrive to the scene and Xiao let goes of Chongyun. Chongyun turns around revealing his clothes were all tattered and bloody, but thing that caught their attention was the bandages on his face. Paimon was horrified and Lumine wore a worried and concerned expression.

"Oh, L-Lumine!" Chongyun tried to walk away only for Xiao to stop him from escaping.

"Xiao, what happened?" Lumine said with a serious tone.

"He lost an eye fighting a Primo Geovishap." Xiao said bluntly. Lumine looked at Chongyun to which he turned his head hiding his bandaged side.

"Lumine, i-i-its fine. It's no big deal, I sw-"

Lumine walk closer to Chongyun and stopped right in front of him. "Shut up you idiot..." She deals a swift punch to the gut which hurts like hell. The pain coursed through Chongyun's body as if it was an electro shock, but he tried his best to just deal with it.

"No big deal my ass, what the hell were you thinking!" Lumine shouted as tears began to stream down her face.

Chongyun argued in responds, "It was a high paying commission and I knew that I was cable of risking it on my own."

Everyone except Xiao was surprised about his insane feat and Lumine's facial expression was more furious. "You did it by yourself!?" Paimon shouted.

"Xiao, is he serious?"

"He told me not to interfere when I arrived to stop him."

The situation was not getting any better with how Lumine is reacting, he need to leave now but before he could make a run for it she said in a soft voice, "You could have died you know."

Lumine's arms wrapped around Chongyun's neck and his face was redder than a jueyun chili. His yang energy was spiraling within him. Just feeling her soft and delicate skin made his heart race even faster. "Lumine could you please let go."

Lumine's head moved to rest on his shoulder, "Then don't risk your life like that just for mora. You are more than what you think you are, you idiot."

"I will, I will, I won't do it again. Lumine, my yang energy is going to overflow."

While all this was happening, Xiao noticed a slip poking out of Chongyun's pocket and snatched without notice. His reaction was shocking, but at the same time impressed.

It was a hit list, an awfully demanding one compared to the commissions Xiao has seen other humans have done. But the real question is, who would even commission this (Also is Chongyun really human)? Xiao pondered on the cable suspects, but then Chongyun breaks the hug and snatches back the sheet.

"Chongyun do you know who commissioner is?"

He nods in response, "I do, but that information is private."

"Might I see what this is?" Lumine's hand takes the list from Chongyun and she gazes over the all the checks and names that were written.

"Oh shit!" Chongyun made a break for it and jumped off the balcony. Xiao and Paimon watch as a wrathful Lumine does the same and pursues him with violent intent.

Paimon sighed, "Lumine we just got here though."
